The Ministry of Defence said he died after being hit by a power boat operated by the Military Training Wing at the Cyprus Sovereign Base Area.

Thanks Gasman. Tonight in the UK somewhere are the award winners for journalism and a special service for those journalists killed while carrying out their duries. I remembered you and thank godd you are still alive and KICKING. ....it is almost as dangerous there.

Morning Deniz. Maybe this thread should be titled 'Death is so unfair'?

Not sure if it is better to die whilst busy doing something you enjoy (swimming in the Med - knocked off by your own) or to get killed by the 'enemy' whilst serving your country in some foreign land.

You are still just as dead whichever way. If I had to choose I'd just want the least PAINFUL way.

I think fighting others' (USA) dirty wars and dying for their cause is a waste of ones life. Dying in the defence of your own country is adifferent story.

We all would like to live in peace and some like to die in pieces.

I have trouble feeling sorrow for people who choose to go kill other people for money, and die while doing it.

Plus, how did he die?

Is this a car accident?
