As one would have expected the competition has started with Orphanides and Carefour slushing prices 30 to 50 %, can.t be bad for the Cypriot consumer.The battle will heat up with Christmas approaching .
The cost of living has greatly reduced all thanks to the massive power of Lidl.
No longer will I bring coffee , cheese ,nuts , nappies , body washes shampoos and more every time I come to Cyprus.
Here is a true story , my older brother ,an eccntric in every sense of the word , usually brings to Cyprus ....toilet paper , milk , sliced bread and .....eggs !!! Cant believe the man !!!!

Popped in today, it was gridlock, ridiculous queues, nigh-on impossible to navigate a trolley. Maybe i'll try again in a few weeks when lidl-hysteria has calmed.

Competition is the answer to all the problems of profiteering anywhere in the world and especially in Cyprus.Can now bring more clothes in case instead of the expensive staples that usually grace my 20kg luggage allowance.

Why on earth would anybody bring food here?, Nappies for personal use?, I cant comment on
