since the Kemalist's rise to power, Turkey has made every attempt to make all Turks, Turkish. quite different to the aims of Ataturk who turned westward with the realisation that it is the Glory that Individuals can provide the State, rather than the Person. This greatness makes Byron a Greek, and everyone Irish at least one day a year...
Nation States exist, they may be natural phenomena. States are made of Nations, Napoleon III taught us this, Modern Turkey (and the Modern Age) is a product of this insight. What their Army and the Deep State resists, is not unusual. One does not have to go too far, Muslims are the new Black(nigger) in the countries of Europe, and needless to say over the whole of the Occidental world. It does no good for Germans or the French to have one face exclusive of any other. It is strange how in America, the vital Freedom on which it thrives, with a non-white President, can struggle with the same fear as these global partners, cutting deep into it's Principal, and staging wars which by International standards are illegal.
If Europe is not strong enough to integrate Muslims, with or without Turkey's membership, then the world will not continue to change favouring their prosperity. Indeed the world itself will be a poorer place if one isolates themselves from the other, and far more dangerous. Better if by example, Europe faces their own fear because there is no resisting the Free Movement, Free Association, and Free Expression of Humanity in any case. Germany's attempt at multiculturalism according to their leader, has failed. France and England too cannot boast of success. There is in this the same stench of stagnation that Turkey suffers with.
Turkey is no doubt to blame if it is shunned by Europe, the Kemalists don't care. They will continue their Imperialism at the expense of anything that is not "Turkish" enough with even greater zeal. But for those that were freed by the Founder, like everyone else, a language (and a culture) is just a weapon in the wrong hands.
