Steady on old girl , I'm a Brit !!! ....and so are you kid !!!

We had no say. All of us born in Cyprus, prior to 1960, were so ill-fated -- born Brits, amidst the bombs!

But nowadays, we are just Europeans! :D

You old charmer! :D Just squeezed out during the last bombing campaigns by the Brits as they fire-bombed the Paphos forest -- and then "generously" declared me British as my Baptismal inheritance! Lovely

Now won't let go ... Domiciled! Huh! Scumbag thieving money-grabbers ...

Ever wondered why Cyprus has more Chemists per HoP than any other European nation , apart from Greece that is ? Here are some interesting figures . Germany has a chemist per 3050 people , Turkey per 3395 , UK 5734
France one per 2644 , Greece ....1 per 1560 followed closely by Cyprus at 1710 !!! This tells either we are , the Cypriots , a bunch of hypochondriacs or that the pharmacists are making a ...fortune!
I tell you why. Chemists are making fortunes , the cartel operates efficiently , for the pharmacists that is , as for the beleaguered Cypriot consumer being ripped off is part of life !!
Went to Debenhams the last time I was in Cyprus a couple of months back . Begun to wonder how on earth can Cypriots afford to shop !!

Flipping heck - the leggy blonde Eastern European not enough for you Milti? Oracle is a 'child' of the 50's as well you know!

I have not yet visited Lidl - and possbly will not until the 'hysteria' subsides. I am reliably informed by a friend (non Brit/Cyp) that she enjoyed the experience even though it was a little manic and overcrowded! Yes the doors had to be closed and there was a lot of shoving and pushing (akin to a butchers queue and the end of Easter here! ) but overall she had a 'pleasant outing' I asked her if there were more Brits nationality wise and her surprising answer was 'no - more Cypriots'!

Far more Cypriots than Brits or other nationalities. I enjoyed my outing there too. And for those who arrived when it opened it was pleasant. The crush occurred later, when they had to close the doors, ran out of trollies etc.

90% Cypriots and enjoying it when I went last night, lovely place clean bright organised and above all CHEAP for good quality products. A big plus imo well done to all those that persevered we will all benefit. Staff are also as pleasant and as bright as the store. Only problem it was packed time to go is when it dies down a bit, there were 10 security men in the car park directing the traffic

Right Lidl and Ikea down whats next?

who ever comes next to Cyprus can only mean healthy competition and savings for the Cypriot consumer . I favour healthy and widespread competition his after all is what a free market means . I have never doubted the existense of cartel operations in Cyprus covering almost all providers of consumer goods . Cyprus has come a long way since the invasion an indication of a progressive nation destined for the 21 ST century
in all fields .
