With a current situation that looks something like…

Unoccupied territory:
------------------------------
600k GCs
.70k Brits
130k Misc foreigners

Occupied Territory:
------------------------------
200k Turkish settlers
.50k TCs

It doesn’t take an Einstein to see that the “Turkish Cypriots” have long faded into obscurity, so what on earth were the “negotiations” with Eroglu for? :?

Add to that…

“ANKARA MAY call on Turkish Cypriots living in Greek Cypriot properties in the north to pay up to a third of the financial costs of Greek Cypriot property compensation claims”

http://www.cyprus-mail.com/cyprus/turki ... s/20101103

And it’s what I’ve predicted earlier this year!

By this time next year there’ll be no such thing as ”Turkish Cypriots” participating in any talks!

They will probably flee to North London before coughing up.

Lana I saw the TV prog about that but, I understood one of the reasons for it was that all muslims name their sons 'Mohammed' (spelling sometimes varies).

Certainly all the muslims I know here in Larnaca (Iraqi, Palestinian..) are called Mohammed (even if they don't use it as their name). I recently assisted a pal called Ihab to fill out some forms relating to change of address for residency purposes and noticed that his name was 'Mohammed'.

I will ask Ihab about this today. They recently named their son Daniel, saying they thought it would go better for him not to have a very 'Arab sounding' name so he is ... Daniel Mohammed!
