1. Are too incompetent to avoid or outsmart the relatively few corrupt developers, thereby keeping the crooks in business and endangering their family's wellbeing!
2. Are subsequently opportunistic enough (corrupt themselves) to politicize their demise, which came about as a result of their utter incompetence!
Therefore, unkie GR’s verdict for this case is as follows:
CF Judgment:A. 20 years imprisonment for each of the “Karayiannis” directors.
B. 10 years imprisonment for O’Dwyer for callously defaming the RoC!
C. 5 years imprisonment to run concurrently with “B”, for O’Dwyer’s utter incompetence in dealing with his personal affairs and risking his family's wellbeing.Miscellaneous Notes:1. The decision of the CF judge is FINAL!
2. An appeal may be lodged via the forum’s official Barrister (BillC) by the accused within 30 days!
3. Such an appeal as described above, may be rejected by the State Prosecutor (Oracle - the mistress of the dark)!
End of Report!
I cannot agree with your judgements in this these matters GR since you have overlooked some very important 'Side issues' which (had they not been present) might have avoided ALL the unpleasantaries which followed (and initially attended) the negotiations surrounding this disgraceful transaction.
That, due to the enormous amount of verbal abuse the Karayiannis Family, Staff and Associates suffered as a result of 'Conor's Campaign', when he attempted to capitalize on an incomplete transaction, he forfeited the right to be treated with the same civility due to a 'Respectable ' customer.
That, due to the fact that Conor was able to video his encounters with the said Family, Staff and Associates, it MUST be recognized that his intent was to manufacture as much evidence as possible to FORCE the issue of his obvious intent.
That Conor's shocking verbal attack upon the Father (through an unforgivable insulting outburst to the son) of another business associate of the developers, duly recorded and made available worldwide, MUST illustrate to what depths of depravity he was prepared to sink in his 'Campaign' against the integrity of Cyprus.
Therefore, I submit that,
(a) The Karayiannis Family were 'Goaded' into the action they took (not really acceptable BUT, understandable and due some consideration).
(b) That the fact that there is so much recorded evidence, clearly indicates that there was a 'Plan of Campaign' from the outset.
(c) That such ignorant and uncalled for verbal attacks on ANY person during a transaction, are NOT acceptable and that the perpetrator of such abuse should not go unpunished.
As to the damage 'Conor's Campaign' may have done to Cypriot business, there is no real measure available, however, a rather strong PLUS in favour of the Karayiannis Family defence is that Conor was offered his money back.
Perhaps he should have taken it.......... and held his filthy tongue. (IMHO).
