How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby boulio » Thu Oct 28, 2010 8:19 pm

Bulio your proposal just concerns how a united Cyprus should be run you have not addressed allbthe other issues lets start with security if we agree to the TA leaving what will you do with your army and 100 000 armed reservists?

Security:
1)eldyk goes home
2)turkish forces go home
3)british forces go home

Mixed Cypriot defence force created under joint EU/NATO TRAINING AND COMMAND.

palio
all greek and turkish army go home and have an army made up of tcs and gcs just like it currently is all males must go to army

It'll never happen .... the TC's don't want unity. as you can see above nothing we put forward will be accepted because the TC's want a racist solution to the Cypro by keeping people out who aren't of Turkish lineage.

Sux .... but true

You are both wrong Bulios security proposal appears acceptable to me. One question i have to ask is what happens if things breakdown and we have internal conflict.

if the mixed euro-nato-cypriot force cant handle it,im sure a joint euro-nato force can.I really dont think things will break down.A united Cyprus within the EU will be just fine. And I also dont think things will happen over night but gradually(people moving back, lands returned,)

do we leave things to chance? What happens if there is a rift? I know i maybe over cautious but its a matter of trust maybe a gradual as you suggest will be a way of buildlng trust.

Palio you should try to understand what we are saying and why if you took just a few minutes to comprehend where we are coming from and why only then will you consider that we might just have a point that reconfirms our rights.

Why do some of you like to throw NATO in there? :?

Do you even know what it means to be bound by NATO rules and you treat it so lightly? :?

It means that you TCs do not have the maturity to take the tough decisions needed to govern a country.

If you are going to throw your toys out of the pram and run to mama Turkey at the first thing you disagree with then you are not fit to govern.

Its probably why Turkey does not dare give you any real executive powers when it comes to governing the "trnc".
