British Bases; baby Blues ...

Everything related to politics in Cyprus and the rest of the world.

British scum is still standing proud with every country they have touched still deep in shit, including Cyprus!

Your feelings about the Brits being the 'enemy' of Cyprus seem to be shared by many on here. Ditto the US.

Strange isn't it - how so many express this disgust yet opted to go and LIVE WITH THE ENEMY?

It's not strange.

You come over and destroy my house, so I come and live in yours.

I think its pretty fair :)

Anyway many of them come to live here as well, so I don't think its about what we think of each other but about how we want to get on with our lives, does not matter where.

Harmful emissions from air defence systems, surveillance antennas, radars and even cellphones in a form of microwaves are a fact.

Everybody on this planet knows that. It's no secret. The jig is up.

As I said before, these baby deaths COULD be attributed to radar emissions.

Being a Brit wannabe is one thing... undisputed science facts is another. I pick the science side... sorry old chaps!!!

And given the evidence you have presented they COULD just as easily be attributed to tiny little men from outer space...

What evidence? Radiation is not good for you... you don't think so? Then install 10 radar dishes on your property and wait 5 years... if you are still alive, give me a call...

When I say "it could be", that means maybe, perhaps...

So far no one knows what caused these deaths. Is it illegal to search for reasons? If my explanation is outright rejected (don't know why...) what's yours? What? Didn't hear you well... you don't have an explanation?

Your hysterical 'reason' for the deaths of babies in the 1960s links them to the on-going use of the equipment and baseless speculation that others have been harmed too. None of which currently has any basis in fact.

As Paphitis pointed out, we are surrounded by radiation from many sources with little obvious effect.

I can't say that these devices did not cause the deaths of the babies. However, given that the babes continue to be occupied and their staff are not dropping like flies from the effects I would assume that there is some other cause for this short-term tragedy.

Stop being so hysterical.

Other causes... very possible, you are right.

Given the fact that we all (including the SBA personnel) drink the same water and eat the same food can be excluded from the equation. We breath the same air as well.

Nevertheless, these deaths occur only at the SBA grounds, so something else is causing it, but what? Some chemical substance perhaps? Radiation emissions? Fish & chips imported from the UK (just joking)

Clearly, something is happening, we just don't know about. The Brits are hiding it from us. I am sure they know what it is. If, indeed, they discover that, in fact, is the radiation emissions, I am certain, they will never admit it... why?... Because that's how the Brits operate... too "proud" to disclose the information which might lead to the closure of the bases. Classified information I'm afraid.

So, as the deaths (which happened forty years ago) only happened in the SBA that MUST mean it was some kind of radiation? Not a disease outbreak, poor medical practice, at the base hospital or anything like that?

Tell me, which wavelengths of radio waves respect the boundaries of the SBA and go no further?

Seriously grump... do you truly believe radiation is good for you?
Do you think SBA personnel is exposed to the same radiation levels as the Keryneia residents?
Do you think this radiation pollution is necessary for Cyprus?
Do we really have to have it?

Which scenario would you pick?

1. SBA status as is.

2. SBA's removed & the whole 93 square miles developed into residential, commercial, hotels, parks and environmental refuges for wildlife

Be sure-Denkdash (i do not know how to right this name-give me a sign) was under the story.

DENKTAŞ/DENKTASH(phonetical)

'WRITE' is not the same as 'right' which is not the same as 'wright' which is obviously different from 'white'. Lovely and confusing innit?

The SBA issue should be on the negotiating table as we speak. If the Cyprob solution includes demilitarizing the island... the Brits shall be ordered to clear off, once & for all. The RoC will get the lands which are the property of the Cypriots (both communities).
