That doesn't mean that there were health issues...

In Limassol they complained about the new 'Pluto' antennas at Akrotiri and the cancers it was causing too - before it was even commissioned...

Ok, I should've said "alleged" health issues.

I just don't understand the positions taken by Cyprusgrump & Paphitis on this issue.

Harmful emissions from air defence systems, surveillance antennas, radars and even cellphones in a form of microwaves are a fact.

Everybody on this planet knows that. It's no secret. The jig is up.

As I said before, these baby deaths COULD be attributed to radar emissions.

Being a Brit wannabe is one thing... undisputed science facts is another. I pick the science side... sorry old chaps!!!

I suppose you have evidence to back up your sweeping statements. Let's just say this is true, then no one is immune because as the countryside is littered with mobile phone towers, and people do live close to airports all over the world, and most descent sized airports are equipped with SSR Radar, and various navaids.

You are barking up the wrong tree, and I would suggest you smarten up, because now is not the time to wage a campaign against the British SBAs as this can only infuriate many powerful nations and NATO! That is not smart as Cyprus has more than enough to deal with at present!

Its all about timing, and I think you will find that the UK will relinquish much of its sovereign land in Cyprus and keep just a few vital assets.

And given the evidence you have presented they COULD just as easily be attributed to tiny little men from outer space...

What evidence? Radiation is not good for you... you don't think so? Then install 10 radar dishes on your property and wait 5 years... if you are still alive, give me a call...

When I say "it could be", that means maybe, perhaps...

So far no one knows what caused these deaths. Is it illegal to search for reasons? If my explanation is outright rejected (don't know why...) what's yours? What? Didn't hear you well... you don't have an explanation?

Your hysterical 'reason' for the deaths of babies in the 1960s links them to the on-going use of the equipment and baseless speculation that others have been harmed too. None of which currently has any basis in fact.

As Paphitis pointed out, we are surrounded by radiation from many sources with little obvious effect.

I can't say that these devices did not cause the deaths of the babies. However, given that the babes continue to be occupied and their staff are not dropping like flies from the effects I would assume that there is some other cause for this short-term tragedy.

Stop being so hysterical.

The amount of radiation emmited by these antenna is not enough to cause health problems. All you are doing Gregorios is stirring up the paranoia regarding these installations. (By the way I am an electrical engineer and have worked on some of this equipment) You get more radiation from having an x-ray taken. I think it's a lot more to do with the consumption of Halloumi and Keo beer. Call it the Keoloumi Syndrome.

The Brits may have done some weird shit, but when you compare them to the Nazis and Turkey, then you can basically say that the Brits are not far off sainthood!

I seriously doubt that neither Turks nor the Nazis travelled around the globe to fuck over some native people or divide or fuck as many countries as possible.

Nazis came and went and so did the Ottomans, but the British scum is still standing proud with every country they have touched still deep in shit, including Cyprus!

Cyprus Infant Mortality Rate 2003 to 2010

http://www.indexmundi.com/cyprus/infant_mortality_rate.html

Shows a fall for 2009 but an increase for 2010 - not sure what the 'est' for all means with both latest ones being '2009 est' or how they can state a large increase for the present year if it is an 'estimate'?

Sounds to me more like another of those possible actions against the military for all the vaccinations the military were given before being sent to far flung places, rather than any environmental hazard in the area they lived. Wasn't there a big hoo ha about what they injected them with before being sent to the Gulf?
