Makarios Droushiotis article in Cyprus Mail

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As far as I know President Papadopoulos or his state are not in breach of International Law to the extent Denktash is.

You don't know much then do you, tassos was an EOKA member and an architect of the Akritas plan, he has much to answer for and if you believe in karma then you know why he has cancer then imo.

EOKA did not just fight the british they killed many in my fathers village of tohni by burying them alive, something that you probably did not know but never the less absolute truth and facts that you will have to come to terms with one day.

Hey, brother, I apologize for that on behalf of GC side - But I will not apologize for attacks on the Colonialists, how about we make it good now and you apologize for for TC side for taking everything my papou worked for even though he was nothing to do with these people.

What sort of cancer is it?

Where is he getting treatment, in cyprus, us, uk etc. ?

No, it is a fact , everybody knows it, I am surprised so many people here know nothing. He has cancer in the throat that is also affecting his vocal chords - didn’t you notice he cannot speak?
Yes he is getting treatment in the USA, thats why he travels there so often.

Well back to my point. I am sure most of you came acroos a cancer incident in your family. Knock on wood but if you were in his position would you stay President unless you were absolutely sure what you are doing is beyond even your own health and perhaps will limit even more the few months/years you can live in peace with your family before you die? For what, for the glory and for been famous? For the money when you are already a millionaire? Shit on that....

I may disagree with many things he is doing I even disagree with him not rejecting the Anan Plan completely to get over with it once and for all, he hits me on the nerves when he says "we are seeking a Bizonal-Biccomunal-Federation and I stress every word of it because each one has a heavy signifigance" but I at least respect he is trying his best under the circumstances for a decent solution.

PS. I just hope we are not betrayed once more (by him this time) and he finally presents us the same shitty BBF as it was in the Anan Plan.To be honest all leaders we elected so far betrayed us. Papadopoulos is our last hope....

These people are a different breed they have sworn to serve their cause until the very end (this goes for Denktas as well) so having cancer takes second stage to his desire to Hellenise (Enosis Dream) the whole of Cyprus and get rid of the Turkish Cypriots. Will throat cancer kill him or is he having chemo theorpy? will he last more than 3 or maybe 8 years??? are there any predictions???
