 Where would your brain be today if it were not for my countless factual, informative, and thought provoking posts… ha?

I’ll tell you where… you’d still be on that useless “Cyprus Today” site still wondering if Anglisides was ever real or a figment of your imagination!

You should thank god for little mercies. One small compliment and how do you respond? Ungrateful mikri-Chiroikitian.

 Use μ-

10μ = the size of your..............................nose. 8)

It's not a unit, but a prefix, you ungrateful μ-Ottoman.

Your great grandfather was an Ottoman too.

All my ancestors were Greek...all the way to Homer. Unless you think Homer was an Ottoman as well.

After the 15th Century almost all Greece was Ottoman

Only the land, not the people.

We were all Ottoman subjects. Period.

A Spartan wannabe or just gay? :?

I think you are both!

That's ok… you needn't feel embarrassed!

We’ve got MANY gays on the CF, although a gay Spartan wannabe is a first! :?

thanks very much everyone for your help! i would have been so lost otherwise-just one more question-does my father actually have to be with me, as we are estranged and i'd prefer to not see him.

shalay, i am gc from melbourne, and recently i asked the same question from the embassy in canberra...

you see the RoC government descriminates on all gc males regardless if the are not citizens...

you call the embassy they will tell you they need your dads birth certificate and id card...so you gonna need to speak to your dad...then they will sent you forms to fill from the emabssy which then are forwarded to nicosia...then the waiting begins, 6-9 months so you can obtain citizenship...then up to 3 monhs for a passport...this is for everyone...

then i said to them as a g male, great that means no citizen, no army...they said not so quick...you need an exit visa...i said why, you do not recognise me as a citizen, why should i require an exit visa...then i said do you require an exit visa from all the male holiday makers...funny enough she no...i said why?...she said it was different...i said how is so?...she said you have a gc father...i said i was adopted... ...that didn't go down well... ...then she asked if i had any more questions...so you see for gc males is discrimination to the max...another one is the 3 month stay crap...eu males can stay as long as they want, and me with an australian passport can only stay for 3 months...then i do army and still no cypriot citizenship...go figure the mentality...if you are not a citizen of country why should you have to get an exit visa or if stayed for more than 3 months have to play toy soldiers?...were is the reasoning in this?...something the embassy couldn't explai, apart from repeating these are the rules like a well trained parrot...i felt like asking if polly wanted a bickie...

the reason i know this is because my daughter is in europe travelling and i enquired for her to get an eu passport to make customs crossing easier...i suppose you have the same reason, for an eu passport...anyway she couldn't wait 9 -12 months for a passport and she went over with an ozzie passport...so far no complains from her with customs...so in short if this is your reason, forget it, they can shove the eu passport where the sun don't shine...

the bonus for you, you can visit cyprus with an aussie passport and not worry about the army and 3 month rule...i am not sure about visit the north though regarding your status, you better ask some questions from tcs or call them in melbourne or sydney and get everything in writing...

You will still need any documentation he still may have; like birth certificates (his), any ID card, marriage certificates. Perhaps it is a good time to make up - put all your differences behind you.

I know, Shalay, its just that it would make your 'Passport Application' that much easier. Best of luck/İyi dilekler.
