The EU has "CALLED" on Turkey is different to a RESOLUTION passed by the EU RECOGNISING TURKEY so called Occupying Northern Cyprus. We all know that the words above are ONLY influenced by the GCs and are NOT the EU's official, legal STANCE. Against Turkey or how it views Turkey's EU application, or is an OFFICIAL Condition for EU entry for Turkey. Those are empty attempts by certain members CURRENTLY siding with The GCs, and is not permanent - you should know that.

Get them, the EU, to pass the So Called "Occupation" officially via the ir Parliament and Commission and then we'll talk. Don't give me articles from papers, but passed laws, acts, regulations and etc that directly implies "Occupation".

MrH, it is well known by all, except those with severe learning difficulties, that the acquis has been suspended in the north until the RoC regains effective control from the illegal Turkish-occupation.

It is not a point of honour to the occupation regime that this suspension is exercised, but a shameful damnation. For, it exonerates the RoC from any of the illegal conducts and wrongdoings being exercised upon its territories. The RoC is powerless to prevent transgressions, so to speak, because it does 'not have effective control'.

In other words, we all know bad things are being done 'up north', but we are not responsible; powerless to prevent, so to say. Simple enough?

I see you know a little French. The truth of this matter is that the EU have Recognised One Administration that has no effective control over Northern Cyprus - that is it, Period. The rest of the comments regarding any reference of a so called "Occupation" is speculation and GC fed article by a few EU GC paid persons. Let it be OFFICIALLY written AS PART of the ANKARA PROTOCOL and then we'll talk some more. You know it's the truth, fact and there's absolutely No Legal grounding of your accusation of an "Occupation". So, let me understand this better, the EU supports a BBF deal WITH THE OCCUPATION FORCE, the EU Supports THE ONGOING TALKS with the so called OCCUPATION FORCE, and the EU just recently held a Committee Hearing on DTR of the OCCUPATION FORCE.

There's one thing funny I can say and that is you guys are a bund of Idealists whom believe in some kind of GC-Majority Utopia and lack any Pragmatic Realism!

The more this BBF situation drags on, they more influential Turkey's becomes, particularly after their new venture in Oil Exploration off the TRNC Coast.

My synopsis of the road ahead for MrH…

MrH, if you’re a “Turkish Cypriot” NOW is a good time to commit suicide while you’ve still got that fraction of integrity left, because as of the new year 2011…

1. Your people will no longer be invited to CyProb meetings.
2. The words “BBF” and “BBC” will fade into obscurity.
3. The words “UN Resolutions” will come back to haunt you!
4. The illegal Turkish settlers will mobilize for greater power and get it.
5. Turkey will issue further restrictions against anything “TC”.
6. Another plane load of “TCs” will have vanished never to return.
7. A few more boatloads of settlers will have gladly replaced them!
8. The closest thing to a tourist you’ll see is those that are buried here.
9. The closest to prosperity you’ll have is when someone finds an old Cyprus pound on the floor.

So as you can see your most immediate emergency is your people’s basic cultural survival let alone demand recognition or DF or DT!
So get your priorities right while you still can because beggars can’t be choosers!!
