When did you actually condemn anyone? One was your previous President.

Get a grip Billy!

What is going on with our T/C friends? Is it National Paranoid Idiot Day in the north? Are there street festivals? Carnival floats? Why are you all spouting paranoid gibberish?

How is it paranoia, when we are talking about things that have happened?

its an excuse by the turks and certain tc's of splitting cyprus in half. There was no organized ROC attempt to commit genocide or ethnically cleanse the tc's.....The TMT and EOKA B were organized and helped by external players ie.....Nato UK, the Greek Junta, this is due to the cold war and cyprus' stategic location, when there are external forces instigating events and false plans then its the instigators you should look at not the ROC......When Turkey another external player in the cyprus problem, was ORDERED to invade, they were also ORDERED TO CEASE OPERATIONS at the current green line.....the tool Turkey was turned off when power was taken away....What doesnt make sense about the Turkish argument is that a christian Archbishop was their accepted president in the ROC, but Turkey invades when Sampson is placed as president by the coupist, which implies that the Tc and Turkey felt relatively safe while President and Archbishop Makarios was their President.

Are you denying that Makarios also wanted us out? He said it himself!

Turkeys timing for the invasion was just a matter of time, the Junta just made things worse.

You can't seriously be saying that the TC's were "OK" in the enclaves?!

You need to get a grip. Greek Cypriots have got better things to do than worry about the outdated paranoid fantasies of T/Cs. I know you live in an enclave that's cut off from the rest of the world and you obsess about events from fifty years ago to justify your current situation, but really, the ROC is in the European Union now and this isn't 1963. At least not in the free areas.

The only thing that hasn't changed over the last fifty years is that Ankara is still pulling your strings and befuddling your brains and keeping you under their thumb to serve their interests. You've got an army of occupation slowly extinguishing you from the face of the planet, swamping you with settlers, erasing your dialect, not allowing you to prosper and who don't give a fuck about your predicament, while you think the ones who are out to get you are the Greek Cypriots?

Tell me you are bloody joking...

You are actually pretty ridiculous know, you have absolutely no clue about my life nor about the people on this side, you are talking like a stupid news reporter who is just reading the news article that came in.

If you have better things to do then "dealing with our paranoia" then stop trying to take over this side, deal with your own rubbish! My life has not been any "easier" because the borders opened and you started getting "involved", people who could not survive here have been leaving since the 50s, no thanks to the GC administration. I do not need you to get by, and I assure you I have a pretty decent life, I do not live in an "enclave" either, I choose to be here because, yes you guessed it, I actually like it here! Just like a lot of other people, what do you think this is, the Jewish ghetto?

I know you love placing all responsibility on Turkey, but this place has clearly started going sideways long before Turkey came in and has nothing to do with exterior forces. You'r aggression has made way for the foreigners to divide us, that is the bloody war. Once you remove all exterior factors we are still left face to face with your racist culture that has been working hard to raise armies of Turk hating GC kids. Why would I want to even deal with all that ?! I have my own country right now, do you really, seriously, believe that I would give that up just so I can be in the EU?!

Excuse my language but, fuck the EU!

Fear Boys and Girls ....... FEAR!

We've been seeing it since the mid-50s from some of our more fanatical friends ..... stir up Fear to Divide.

Nothing new in this approach other than it's now Fear of the Far-Fetched that is being organised and promoted by the likes of VP, Bir and Shah, Fear of the Ridiculous and the Extremely Hypothetical.

Sad to say they may be unknowing throwbacks to a diff age, cos their amateurish and out-dated attempts come across to me as attempts to re-create Fear and Suspicion, and unwittingly emulate the past work of the TMT and the mosque-burning, journalist-killing, trade-unionist murdering Black Ops of the TA.

Sad really, cos it's when pretty moderate people like them get taken in by extremist propaganda of the Agreeeetarse Resurrectionists type, to the extent that VP, Bir and Shah have, that they now want to the spread the message of Fear and Suspicion, ... well, then we have problems.

If “feasible” is based on military might then it’s quite obvious that this is not the right time for a “solution”!

So you saying there will never be "solution"? I just do a quick calculasion and i cant work out when Cyprus will have military might to do anything. I also put Greece into calculasion and same answer, never you will have might. So forget this plan, tell us realistic plans not Hollywood fantasy.

I don't know what is happening across the green line but since the direct trade deal broke down we've had an increase in paranoia and a bizarre outpouring of self-delusion. Not even an attempt to comprehend the reality of the situation. Just a retreat into the fearful fantasies of the past. Not just a fear of the past, but a fear of the future as well: a fear of a future without the stifling embrace of Mother.

There is literally nowhere to turn. The past is filled with fear and suspicion, the future is one of fear and uncertainty. So they choose to stay where they are, in a present going nowhere consumed by fear and hatred. Meanwhile, ten thousand T/Cs work in the south without incident. The RoC prepares for its Presidency of the EU and they cling onto the delusion that Greek Cypriots actually give a toss.

We can stay like this for another century, you should get that by now.

Nothing has changed in the song we have been singing for years, direct trade deal was no surprise, it has not changed anything in our lives, business as usual.

You give way too much credit to the EU membership in our eyes and have made yourself truly believe that, those are the "free areas", while we are all suffering here

You know what they say, never get high on your own supply.

All that bullshit is meant to be for the international community, not yourself buddy

Wishful thinking I'm afraid. You are already a minority in the north. In a few years it'll be over. The northern economy faces bankruptcy. No trade, no flights, no recognition and our lawyers waiting to pull the trigger on their lawsuits. It's over. Better wise up to the fact and prepare for what Turkey has in mind for you. It is their interests they wish to preserve. Not yours.

They are absolutely right - you'd better start digesting that the only way to legalise the theft of a part of Cyprus, IF this ever actually becomes possible, is to hand back enough land (and coastline) to make it worthwhile for GCs to accept this.

ANY BBF solution that our idiotic GC leaders are negotiating will with near certainty result in partition, which means that the only thing that will stay after the dust settles is the line on the ground.

The average GC understands this very well and will not legalise the theft of 30% to get 7% back.. much better to fight you with all possible means.

Whatever GC politicians say, know that if you insist on keeping 30%, a solution will never be found, you will never be recognised - just fully deleted by mainland Turks - and of course neither Turkey nor you will ever be let in the EU.

Drop this to 22% and you will probably have a deal - why is this so hard for you to accept? After all, you own only 11.7% of land in Cyprus and are less than 18% of the population.

Why fo you want to keep ALL (instead of SOME) of the spoils of war at the expense of your compatriots that you ROBBED ? Are really so greedy? Do you not have any moral inhibitions in STEALING your fellow Cypriots' land and property? How is any kind of partnership ever going to work if it is founded on THEFT?

Gasman wrote:Apparently one of the reasons these 'talks' have been so long drawn out was because Christofias, representing the GC side, refused to accept the Annan Plan as a starting point. And that it took a very long time to construct a 'new' document. That, in fact, most GC politicians did not want the Annan Plan ever mentioned again because it was no better than an international plot to destroy their country.

But in January this year, Christofias wrote a letter to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council in which he officially protested 10 instances in which, he said, a set of new Turkish proposals differed from the Annan Plan.

??

Give to Cristofias ore to any other Greek Cypriot president a solution plan with only 3 lines.

-Democratic system in a free country. EU laws fully apply.
The signature is coming in 10 mnts. All others are Turkish pshts.!!!!!
