UNSC, EU and The TRNC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby MrH » Thu Oct 21, 2010 7:32 pm

Bernhard Rapkay, a centre-left German MEP who chairs the parliament’s group high-level contact for relations with the Turkish Cypriots, called the vote “ridiculous,” the same news portal reported. “I want law to be respected and [the Treaty of] Lisbon gives these issues co-decision and we are agreeing not to use this procedure,” Rapkay was quoted as saying by The European Voice.

Rapkay, meanwhile, appealed to the committee to give members more time to study the opinion by the parliament’s legal service on which Lechner’s report was based, underlining that the opinion had been given to members only on Friday.

The Tiny narrow mind of the insignificant Greek Cypriots is evident in the opinions of this forum. The Cyprus issue is not about winning political points but more of Europe's Security, Energy and and partnership concerns with Turkey. Why hasn't the EU EVER pressured Turkey to supposedly get out of Cyprus is because it can't, Ever! Turkey just today said in Reuters that it will start oil exploration off of Northern Cyprus. The decision by the EP has once again place the Cyprus issue in the hands of the UN, thus the probably recognition of the TRNC, and France and Germany has stressed that, in the British Times Newspaper, that it is to reassess its security concerns with an open discussion with the Republic of Turkey. You see my little Greek Cypriot villiage people, Turkey's overall plan for Cyprus will ultimately make fools of your so called racist outlook on the Cyprus problem. Your every move cements partition, and with that I will leave you by saying that the near abandonment of the Cyprus negotiations will be step one of this policy. The United.Nations are now fed up with the Cyprus issue - watch this space.

By the way, Russia is apparently furious with the Greek Cypriots for saying that they are in Complete Unison with the EU, as an EU member, on ALL EU policies - including that of Kosovo's Ultimate recognition!

Mr H Good Evening

Just a small question !

Why are all your posts non credible ??

Everything you write is your own opinion which IMO is fine but ......

........doesn't ring particularly true with any world opinions, and when one thinks logically about what you say doesn't particularly ring any bells either with any others opinion.

Personally I along with others on forum ( I'm sure) feel that you are a bit of a wan*er

Now please do not take offence at that but I'm sure even the opposing personel on here feel that you are just a little embarrassing
