Postby halil » Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:45 pm

Today i pass the green line with my father..... Yes after 47 years my father (age 77) passed from the Lokmaci to ledra street. we walked together with him up to end of the Ledra street.... everything was strange for him.... he only remembered from past was Venation walls..... since 1963 he has never been to south Nicosia....he used to work for Cyprus electric city.

next to GC's check point we had our coffee and retuned back..... how strange the life..........

Strangest things happen in this little island Halil.

He must have been full of mixed feelings.

Very strange Shah..... on the way first time my father was saying to me how they were throwing the stones to British soldiers.... and how they were trying to escape from the fog bombs.... my boy he said you are luck, life is very easy for u now.... look at these shoes he said .... we never had .... we were wearing Changar boots all the time... doesn't matter if it was summer or winter.... there was no enough food... dried bread, few olives and some dry Nor(anari) and a water. There was no cars... it was only one bus was coming from the village to Nicosia to catch the bus was very important in those days he says... look u all have 2-3 cars now and u are all complaining about the life he says....... it was nice to talk with him from the past.

Amazing how well off you are now you've stolen 50% of the country's assets for 15% ... of asses!

So, why choose to "cross" now? Are you running out of stolen goods? Or, in need of some free health care for your old papa?

Must be hard for the old fella, but did you both make it back alive??

Strange that, since you always say the evil GCs just want to kill you all.

I bet you never mention these things to your papa a??

Oh I know, you have shown him Nicosia before the giant wall goes up, thats it, its Turkey's Plan B.

 If I’d known he’d be coming I would’ve arranged a row of sandbags in Ledra street so he could feel at home…

He's a sado-masochist!

He comes here to sadistically gloat over our losses. But, he's left disappointed if he doesn't receive a little abuse.

You speak as if we have all literally pocketed these so called assets(!!)

However you have turned an evil situation which you worked very hard to initiate, into a very lucrative situation...
