NICOSIA - Anatolia News Agency

'Başka Dilde Aşk' won four awards in six categories at the festival.
"Başka Dilde Ask" (Love in Another Language), directed by İlksen Başarır, has won four awards at the Cyprus International Film Festival held in Greek Cyprus.

The film, which competed in six categories, won awards in four of them. The film won best actor, best director, best scenario and best film.

Başarır's award-winning film invites the audiences to the world of the deaf through its plain but exciting depiction of the romance between Onur, a young deaf and mute man who works as a librarian, and Zeynep, a call-center employee.

The film shows the difficulties the couple encounter in their relationship with one another and the difficulties they face with the world around them.

AHAHA! Thats pretty funny actually, another Turkish source says that some idiots actually tried to protest the decision (as usual) but the jury went ahead anyways.

I can totally see GR at the gate holding up a sign saying "NO! Don't you dare liking any Turkish movies!"

Thats very noble of you Palio!

I agree with you, no racial disagreement should cloud the decisions on a good piece of art work!

Well done to the jury as well.

Ask your manager at BRT why he is lying Halil...

"The world representative of the film İzzet Pinto said they had no expectations to win four prizes in the festival adding that the film has won the most important prize of the festival, the ‘Golden Aphrodite’ which is given for the best film."

...and come back to us with his answer. Thanks.

I guess they cave in after all, as there are quite a few news sources out there with a similar article.

Anyhow, don't think I did not spot the Turkish actor in there

I don't remember the last time I watched BRT as I do not own a TV.

But the news came from Turkey, not BRT.

You mean he participated and lost, and then went on to lie about winning 4 awards!

Don’t you find that disgraceful?
