i'm not the one coming up with flawed analogies. after wwii the krauts surrendered to the brits (and other allied powers), not vice versa.

It was Russia that effectively destroyed the Nazis, not the Europeans, and definitely not the Yanks.

Don't forget Greece's role or your new-found "intelligence" might rapidly deteriorate again.

Wonder what "Turkey" did during the fight against fascism? :? :? :?

Oh yeah the heroic Greeks we never stop hearing about when WW 2 comes up!

Turkey was neutral, still recovering from a LOT of stuff and getting used to the switch from the Ottomans to a democracy. They sided with the Allies at the end and took in a lot of Jews who fled Europe.

Still, no one can even come close to the amount of fighting the Russians did.

For the simple fact that Bananiot uses sock puppets. Obviously, in order not to look like a complete nutter...he created sock puppets so that somebody, anybody can agree with him.

More people than you'd like to know agree with Bananiot.Anyone whose head is not firmly in sand can see tht Bananiot is the supreme realist and accurate historian...Those of you who keep on denying history, and wanting to reduce the Cyprus problem to one act of occupation starting in 1974 are doing Cyprrus a great disservice...You are blocking all the roads to understanding and empathy, hence ensuring there will be no solution in our lifetime...or any other time...Bananiot wisely can read the future as well...The new new world order has a big part for Turkey in the Middle East and Eastern Meditteranean region, and no outside power will lift a finger to help those fanatics hell bent on the Hellenisation of Cyprus...Time go get real indeed...Stop being bloody minded and vengeful against the TCs,agree to a livable solution fast to reunite our beloved homeland...The window of opportunity is very short, measured in a few years...miss it again, deluding yourselves with pyrric legal victories in meaningless arenas, and you are sealing the Division forever...The choice is yours!

Not in the Republic of Cyprus, thank goodness.

I am simply an unapologetic GREEK CYPRIOT that holds his head high. That is why you have a problem with me and those that think like me. It appears you only get along with Turkish ass lickers. Speaking of which, Bananiot is as accurate as that crack head fortune teller two blocks up my house. I give you exhibit A:

My goodness, you spew the same drivel daily. The choice for peace is not ours to make for if it was up to us...we would have the Turkish troops removed and everyone would be able to live and work where ever they choose.

You and Bananiot are bloody hypocrites! You twits have a problem with the national guard acquiring sophisticated weaponry but have no problem with the National Guard acquiring Turkish "made" attack helicopters. I give you exhibit B:

http://cyprus-forum.com/cyprus31698.html

Again, you like Bananiot because he is a Turkish ass kisser...plain and simple. You believe you can only negotiate with Turkish ass kissers or there will be no solution in our lifetime because you won the war in 74 and we in the RoC must see the realities on the ground. Sir, go fuck yourself and your wet dreams about Turkey's neo Ottoman role in the middle east. Here are the realities i see:

The European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs approved on Monday with 18 votes in favour, five against and one abstention the opinion of the European Parliament`s Legal Service, that the legal basis of the Commission`s regulation on direct trade between the EU and Cyprus` Turkish occupied areas is wrong and that the proper legal basis is Article 1(2) of the Treaty of Accession`s Protocol No 10 between Cyprus and the EU, signed in April 2003.

And don't ever talk to me about fanatics when you support holding a whole city in hostage as a bargaining chip. Are we clear?

Birkibrisli, it is a fact that fascists lose their sense of humour (or sarcasm) too (if ever they had one).

Perhaps we can give him the benefit of the doubt because he cannot read through my phlegmatic side (being an alleged Anglophile). I consider the quoted one liner of mine, my greatest contribution to this forum! Imagine, buying weapons from your sworn enemy, enough to make every hair of Lit and his likes stand on end.

P.S. If he still doesn't get it, I would advise him to change ... ideology.

In Bananiots eyes, everyone is a facist and a bigot if they don't support the occupation regime and hand over Cyprus on a plate to Turkey.

Hey Banana, hows the Turkish coming along, soon you will be amongst your own ......... In Turkey.

How can there be a Cyprus solution when the EU entrusted the Greek Cypriots to say YES to the Annan Plan as PART of it's agreement in entering the EU. Secondly, the Island is still in Conflict and the EU is seen as now adding to it. And finally, how can a solution come about if one of the island's Guarantor powers is not an EU member Country. Exactly! There can not ever be a Cyprus Solution as expected by the EU and Greek Cypriots if Turkey is repeatedly kept in the cold on the matter.
