all the family are packing the almonds at nights. while packing goes and coffees, and cakes are goes......also cold EFes with fresh almonds....

we made some Chakizdez from the olives . End of this i will make my olive oils too.

That looks great Halil, it is just about that time when everyones picking and squeezing.

We also just made a bunch, nothing like fresh hot olive oil.

Also working on making some Garayağ as well yum!

Garayağ is not popular in our area Shah.... It is realy hard work to make it..... you must boil the olives and dry them afterwords...needs great care.u must protect the olives from dust, birds....etc...ect ....
where do you take your olives for squeezing ?

I know but its worth it, we make it every season, I live off the stuff!

We have a stone mill(?) here in Lefke. How about you?

we used to have as well . now it is closed. (it was in Ağırdağ village) there is one near the my village ( at şirinevler) but i am not sure about their baskets if they puts new ones every year. I might goto Yeniceköy ,it is a new type of it...They also said new one opened at Serhat Köy. it is faraway from my village(kırnı,Pınarbaşı).

yes life at village ........ villages are the only places left that we are still having our culture.........

BIDDA and BADDADEZ ( Pitta bread and patatoes) was the tradational food of the villagers........
