HUNGARIAN MINISTER CYPRUS - SUPPORT

Hungarian Minister of Defense Csaba Hende has assured that his country
will continue supporting Cyprus and that for this reason it will
continue being a troop contributor to the UN Peacekeeping Force of
Cyprus, (UNFICYP).

Hende, held Sunday a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Costas
Papacostas, in the coastal town of Larnaka, with the participation of
the chiefs of military forces of both countries. After the meeting, he
said that he was informed by his Cypriot counterpart about issues he
was not aware of before, adding that Hungary will always support Cyprus
and that Hungarian peacekeepers of UNFICYP will stay in Cyprus.

The Cypriot Minister thanked his counterpart for Hungarys contribution
to peace in Cyprus through the UNFICYP, saying that maintaining 84
soldiers in Cyprus shows Hungarys interest for peace. The people of
Cyprus, he went on to say, are grateful to Hungary for its
contribution, noting the excellent relations and cooperation between
the two countries.

Now tell me that there is no proposal from the Hingarian Minister to our minister to buy weapons, especially after the statement made by Papacostas that : "The National Guard will remain fully equipped as long as Turkish Forces are in our motherland"........ whats the deal?

The Hungarian Goverment, will remain friends with Cyprus, and also plans to issue 500,000 new passport to Hungarians who fled in the 2nd World War.These citizens, will be from Russia,Siberia and other Nations not in the E.U. There are thousands of Hungarians already working in Cyprus, and more to come next year.
About your comment: Hungary might make weapons, but Israel,Russia and USA are the chief suppliers.Hungary is still a very poor E.U country, that's why Hungarians are working overseas, many are moving to Slovakia.

I dont know about you people but I am tired of countries all over the World dipping there toes into Cyprus about supporting the solution when they have had no impact on Cyprus. Allow the GC and TC to work out a solution together. I'm all for investments and trade and what ever else other countries may see Cyprus as an investment option but stay out of the politics please.
Going by the UN website there is 3 members from Bosnia in the UN police, I am sure they will be next to make a speech. Individual countries who make up the UNFICYP should only be spoken by Ban or Downer.
