If the GC's don't actively work on ethnically cleansing the island we would have no problems.

I don't think anyone is fooled anymore by Turkish claims that it invaded Cyprus to prevent "ethnic cleansing". In reality the only systematic large-scale orchestrated action in Cyprus which can be termed a crime against humanity is the ethnic cleansing carried out against 200,000 Greek Cypriots by the Turkish army in 1974.

Turks are very keen to use the term "ethnic cleansing" against Greek Cypriots to justify the Turkish invasion. Yet somehow the systematic and well-documented attempt to extinguish the Armenian people by Turkey is dismissed by most Turks as one of those things which happen in wartime. In reality, the modern Turkish state is one of most active and notorious proponents of ethnic cleansing. The occupation of Cyprus is evidence of that continuing policy.

The long-standing Turkish demand for "taksim" or partition goes back to the 1950s. Turkish Cypriots are still blaming the Greek Cypriots for everything to justify the Turkish policy of partition on the island. It is a tired old strategy. It is time to give it up.

If we came uninvited, it was because there was no on here to invite us 10,000 years ago. You trespassed on what we already had.

It started in 1570 when your forefathers came here UNINVITED to murder and destroy Cypriots. Now don't ask again!

There’s not a doubt that the Ottoman stay on Cyprus is WAY past its expiry date, so their reintegration into the Turkish community is a welcomed development as Cyprus cannot afford to have pseudo Cypriots of Muslim origin and such anymore!

Its not the GCs that describe the TCs as "Turks of Cyprus".

Don't blame the GCs for Turkeys policies in the occupied areas and stop bending over forward for Turkey.

Still preferred to GCs, thats what you are finding difficult to stomach, the only we can even consider living with you again would be via a AP type solution.
