Same country different protest…

How much scummier can they get? A pensioner led away in handcuffs and thrown in to some dungeon by Armed Militia for trying to organise a simple and peaceful protest.

True!
I have even youtube videos to prove what you say!
Are you seriously trying to defend the outrageous behaviour of the northern gangster regime when they try to silence critics and dissidents Insan by referring to unrelated incidents elsewhere?
....oh and please don't edit quoted posts... it's very naughty.

A retaliation against your and Hermes' dirty propaganda attempt...
Please don't do dirty propaganda either based on an allegation or a fact that you don't know the details... there must be a differenece between a civilised intelligent human being and ignorant who believes eveything and abuse the issues for dirty propaganda...
TRNC police clearly explained to Mrs. Read that non-citizen inhabitants of TRNC had no right to organize a protest but she was free to ask help of TRNC citizen Brits or other citizens to get permission for the protest she wanted to organize... That's the issue... there's no need to abuse the issue for dirty propaganda purposes...
On the other hand, I agree with Mrs. Read that TRNC government should take the responsibility of such incidents and compensate the losses of duped victims...

No they don't!
Military zone trespass is a whole different matter.
You deny that dissenting Turkish Cypriot journalists have been locked up, beaten, tried and even assassinated in the north for criticizing the negative role of Turkey in the north's affairs? Shame on you.
