She's got "prison bars" photoshoped on her

I wish I could get you a picture of her in the cell but I doubt they'd let me anywhere near her, so I had to improvise!

True!

I have even youtube videos to prove what you say!

That youtube offers an insight into how free Cypriots are to demonstrate when a crime has been committed.

If the two communities cant live together why do you want to force them? neither side really wants a solution isnt 50 years enough time for you to work this out?

Akfinans Bank – police accuse Pauline Read of “trespassing”
Sunday, August 1, 2010
By Pauline Read
Today has been surreal. I cannot quite come to terms with the fact that had Chris not been as agile as he is, I could have seen him being taken away in a body bag. I have no doubt in my mind that Akfinans Bank would have got away with that too. The government seem frightened of them, the police seem frightened of them. I have news for you Akfinans Bank Ltd, I will continue to tell the truth about you and the only way you will silence me is permanently.

Why would I be surprised that they came like thieves in the night, not bothering to observe the legal procedure of obtaining a court eviction notice or the common decency of making the owner of the property aware of the action they were about to take. They kept the existence of the mortgage secret, we only discovered it when attempting to register our Contracts in 2008 as per the new law. The mortgage had been in existence since 2005 but we had to find out about it by chance, even though they knew of our existence. Common decency and Akfinans are not really words that belong in the same sentence.

I now know the identity of the 3 ‘brave’ men who did a runner when challenged by a 60 year old lone man and attempted to run down in their getaway car – what heroes.

Haluk came to film Chris’s version of events for Ada news and found the old lock our heroes had overlooked. He called the police again hoping they might want to fingerprint it or something. No, they were more interested in arresting Chris and I for trespassing on what they said was Akfinans property. Now bear in mind, they know we have not been given sight of any legal authority for the bank to do what they had done but they would rather take the word of an obviously dubious bank than someone who has contracted to buy and paid for the property. If we had been given sight of a legal eviction notice we would have left immediately – we were not. So both Chris and I suggested that they had better arrest us then as we were not leaving.

The next episode tomorrow…………

VP, i understand why you are in utter disbelif that this could occur in your wonderful corrupt regime, but if you take a trip to the NCFP site she was there yesterday arrested by the police and her computer seized.

I tried to find the report, but it seems to have 'vanished' , but it was there yesterday. Ask you buddy malcolm Channing on that site, he will confirm.

The woman thinks she is superwoman with balls, she will disappear one night if she carries on as she does.

Silly cow.

TRNC government’s refusal of peaceful, silent candlelit Vigil “is illegal”
Wednesday, October 13, 2010
By Pauline Read
I am tempted to say, well what a turn up for the books. Someone, I do not even know, has kindly emailed me details of why I should not have been denied ‘permission’ to mount our Silent Peaceful Candlelit Vigil, and if I read it correctly, why I never really needed to apply for permission. If I were cynical, I might think a Government conspiracy had been mounted against the Vigil so that it could not take place in tandem with the Protest held in London on the 4th October.

It would seem, reading the legal opinion of a very learned TRNC Lawyer that ‘prevention of people protesting the confiscation of their homes is illegal.’ Under the KKTC Constitution everyone, including residents from other countries have the right to organise and demonstrate against these confiscations. It is the opinion of this very learned gentleman that if Human Rights are violated (as in this case), then International Law over-rides local law. He is in effect saying that the Nicosia (Lefkoşa) courts ignored the law. If more attention had been paid to section 11 of the Constitution then the authority would know that regardless of whether I was a citizen or not, I had the right to Protest, as do we all in this situation. He also sites sections 13 and 32 of the Constitution.

That my villa was confiscated in a criminal and very frightening way is a matter of public record. That my Human Rights have been violated, over and over and over again, and that I am a co-Petitioner in the ECHR case now in Strasbourg is also a matter of record. That the Government should now be party to a further violation of my Human Rights is unconscionable. Every innocent victim of mortgage fraud here in the TRNC faces the possibility of having their homes confiscated (hopefully in a less violent way than mine was stolen) and according to the information I now have, HAS THE RIGHT TO DEMONSTRATE AND SHOW THEIR DISSENT AT THESE ACTIONS. The law here allows it. We had planned a SILENT PEACEFUL CANDLELIT PROTEST, not a noisy demonstration, why would that have been so unacceptable and why was I denied this right?
