How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You miss the point. Turkey cannot progress its EU accession because it is failing to meet its obligations. The crux of the problem has been Turkey's non-compliance with obligations set out in the 2004 Ankara Protocol, which were later included in the country's negotiating framework for EU accession.

Mate, for your Greek Cypriot Cyprus policy's sake, you better hope that Turkey's EU flame is kept alive or you may one day wake up with a Northern Cyprus-Turkey looking at you with a sudden influx of 4+ million Turkish Nationals - After its Annexation. And with Turkey officially out of the EU, well, I would then say good luck to BOTH the Greek and Turkish Cypriots on the island.

THAT IS THE BIGGEST POSSIBLE THREAT FOR BOTH US AND GC'S BUT IT SEEMS, GC'S DONT WANT TO UNDERSTAND THIS...ONCE THEY UNDERSTAND, IT WOULD BE POSSIBLY LITTLE TOO LATE FOR EVERYTHING...

On the contrary. Turkey offered its butt to the EU. Offered its services. Its begging entry because, in isolation from the EU, it would have been destroyed like Iraq and Afghanistan!

The sooner we stop this protective charade for Turkey, because it might become one of "us", the sooner it becomes the enemy from without, for ALL the EU, and there will be no stopping the mighty Justice due!

I assure you that UN Resolutions have proven VERY EFFECTIVE short of military action thus far.

They've not been very effective where ISRAEL is concerned have they? I believe Israel is in breach of more UN resolutions than any other country.

But then I suppose it's OK for Israel not to comply with the UN, just not OK for Turkey!

UN resolutions, schmesolutions.

I think it’s pretty obvious that I was referring to the ones pertaining to Cyprus!

Total rubbish!

An EU Turkey is what would guarantee millions of Turks LEGALLY moving to Cyprus, and not the other way round!

But anyway, Turkey is an out of control Islamist state totally incompatible with the EU so it can never happen.

As for “annexation” you haven’t been reading what I’ve posted for you and opted to make a fool of yourself again…

Why would "millions of Turks" move to shitty little Cyprus when they can move to any other REAL country that exists in the EU, as they have already done for many years?

Wakey wakey GR!

On the contrary, a decent Turkey would be a better place to be than any other Northern European shit hole.

Any immigrant Turk will tell you that they are there because they have to be there in order to survive, not because they love Germans nor the Brits

That's exactly why the repatriation to Turkey of all things Turkish on Cyprus is the most humane and sensible solution.

You really do post shite. Four million plus Turks in northern Cyprus? Really? What are they going to do there? There's not enough goats for them to herd as it is.

Last time I checked it was still Turkish policy to join the EU. Only they can't open any negotiating chapters as they are failing to fulfill their obligations. The only obstacle to Turkish entry is Turkey itself. What is Europe supposed to do if the Turks are too dumb to realise this?

Of course Turkey can always turn its back on Europe and be the regional leader of an anti-Western Islamist nutter alliance with its new pals Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and Sudan. Good luck with that!

They are the ones who cannot go to Europe, they came here not for you, but for the North.
