which book/s have you enjoyed reading

for me it was The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge

this book was given to me back in 78 by a lecturer of mine...
Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself, and yourself alone, one question . . . Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.

i have read the first 6 of his books, out of 12...another favourite of mine was the #3 book journey to ixlan

another book was zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance
"When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When many people suffer from a delusion it is called a Religion."

"You look at where you're going and where you are and it never makes sense, but then you look back at where you've been and a pattern seems to emerge.

i would say these 2 books have influenced the way i make decisions...

I'll check out the suggestions you've made, looks right up my street. Thanks.

I made a thread about Robert Anton Wilson on here, he's a great writer. I recently read Cosmic Trigger Volumes 1-3, and i'm currently reading "Schrodinger's Cat Trilogy"
"The Illuminatus Trilogy" (with Robert Shea) is amazing - probably the most enjoyable book i've ever read. It's hard to describe why it's so good, just buy it and read it!

I'm also currently reading "My Life with the Spirits" by Lon Milo DuQuette; some info here:

I've just ordered some books by H P Lovecraft

I'm looking forward to getting my teeth in to them!

 You've got to be kidding me mate!

So when you contemplate the shortest path to a toilet in an emergency, would you reject it for failing to have a heart and shit yourself?
