Unfortunately for you that's not an option either! You have no idea how fucked you are! Image

Who is to say?

Puny little RoC?

What has the RoC got against Turkey, but a veto power within the EU?

Please tell me

Whatever it is, it's done a damn good job for the last 35 years blocking and denying you in every possible way!

Who can deny that the RoC is in 100% control of the occupied territory when they’ve been determining your future all along?

All it achieved was forcing the Cypriots out of the island and being replaced by illiterate Kurds.

If you call that a "dam good job" then I shall just let you be in lala land.

This tiny little giant we call Cyprus is a force to be reckoned with Shamaran, and you’d better believe it…

I am sitting in my quite little Lefke safe and sound, listening to the serenity of my lands, with the warm sun in my face and guess what?

I hear nor feel no threats buddy, haven't done so in 30 years all I hear is birds and beetles and do not feel this peaceful anywhere else in the world.

I know exactly what Cyprus is and what its not.

Pretty racist maybe, but a giant definitely not.

You have been living independently for what, 50 years?

Compare that with the Turks.

Who are you fooling GR?

You can only thank the RoC for their generous food coupons because had you been reliant on Turkey you would’ve been prostituting yourself by now! Image

Tell me where such a practice exists/existed and in which form? Because most scholars would tell you that the Ottoman Turks did/do anything but allow people to rule themselves or practice their religion, or to even use their own language etc! Yeah, they tax people alright!

(Methinks, staying up late does not agree with your mental processes!)

Show me one ex-Ottoman country that spoke Turkish EVER.

I am very doubtful that you have heard the above from any credible scholar.

There are no ex-Ottoman countries. There were only regions of occupation by Turkic nomads which ethnically cleansed natives of thousands of years and the bulk of the regions is now called Turkey. Where I believe, Turkish is the order of the day (unless the EU is looking).

Oh yeah the wonderful little world of Oracle, where imperialism does not exist.

I wish I was there Oracle, I really do.

I am not sure I get "the joke" buddy.

But I am aware how much "prostituting" you had to do just to get a grip on your half island.

It is not Turkey who needs the help of the EU to be here, you do

Anyhow I am off to Lefkoşa to do some real sucking up in the government office

Take care!

The creation of the Republic of Cyprus was not achieved by the Turks - quite the opposite!

It was the Greek Cypriots that created the Republic of Cyprus by freeing Cyprus from British colonial rule while the Turks worked for the colonial forces to suppress the struggle for independence!

Lets not rewrite history here!

This island was freed by the Ottomans, buddy.

Your entire socio-economic status and non-existent church was "upgraded" by the Ottomans too.

Thanks to the Ottomans, you went from a no body, to the master of your own lands.

Don't forget who created you Serf boy, everything that came after is a result of the above!

Oh yeah and Turkey was freed by the Greeks when the Ottomans went from nobody to master of their own lands when the Greeks ratified the Treaty of Laussanne.

Pull the other one ...

You what?!

Last time I checked, the Greeks were rushing in from the Aegean, backed by their masters the Brits, to get a piece of the cake. Hoping to get back their long missed "Kostantinople"

Shame they had to go back from exactly the same place empty handed, followed by the disgraced Ottoman family

That is why they had to sit down and sign that treaty, instead of the Sèvres.

Basically they LOST the war, effectively so did the Brits.

Sucking up to the Imperials did seem like a good idea, clearly did not work out as planned in practice
