My girlfriend has the cyrpus citizenship. I am a unites states citizenship. Currently we can't get married in the country we are in so we were thinking of going to Cyprus and getting married there. How does that work? As well, I want her to get the American citizinship so she can travel with me to united states. How long does that take? How can we do that? Thanks for all future response!

In Cyprus, there are two types of marriage… Civil (Town Hall) and Religious (Eastern Orthodox church).

Your choice will determine your direction...

I doubt that he is Orthodox so a religious wedding would be too complicated. For a civil marriage you can do it at any Municipality. For example:
