As the negotiations process in Cyprus continues, all eyes have turned to the Yeşilırmak-Pirgo crossing point which will be opened on Thursday, the 14th of October.

UN, EU officials and both sides leaders also will be at opening....... I will be there too ............. hoping to see CF members over there.......

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule will pay a one-day visit to Cyprus Thursday and will attend the opening of the Limnitis crossing point.
He will also have a series of meetings with officials.

Fule said: "The EU fully supports the confidence building measures, such as the opening of this crossing point and feel proud to have contributed financially to a significant milestone in the effort to achieve peace in Cyprus."he said
Fule will meet the President Christofias on Thursday at 8am, and later at 10.15am will attend a ceremony to open the roadblock in Limnitis.

Fule : AB tamamı ile gelinen noktayı desteklediğini ve barış adına önemli bir aşamaya finansal açıdan destek verdikleri için gurur duyduğunu söyledi. Christofias ile perşembe sabah 8 de toplantıda bulunacak ve sonrasında 10.15.de açılış törenine katılacak.

At 1:10pm will meet the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General, Alexander Downer, and later Turkish Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu.
Later he will see with Markos Kyprianou.
Late in the afternoon he will participate in a panel discussion with Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot businessmen and representatives of the business community and will attend a dinner with the leaders of the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties.

saat 1.10pm de UN Secretary General Alexender Downer'in özel danışmanı ile toplantı yapıp sonrasında Sn. Derviş Eroğlu ile görüşmelerni sürdürecek, öğlenden sonra Kıbrıslı Rumlar ve Kıbrıslı Türklerden İş toplumunu oluşturan panel görüşmelerini sürdürecek. Akşam Kıbrıslı Türk ve Rum parti başkanları ile yemekte bulunacak.

I have never been to one so I do not know what to expect.

As far as know after the opening ceremony UN,EU officials and both side leaders will visit villages coffee shops and will have a chat with villagers.

I will leave my home in half an' hours to be at Yeşilırmak. Hoping to see u.

@ SHAH your friends from Lefke was at Check point holding a pankarts about Aplıç ..... They made good impression on UN and EU ..... also there was a demand for opening Yiğitler and Pile gates too

@Deniz Bey .... new fish restaurant opened just opposite of the Asmalıbeach... fishes and mezes were perfect...... 10 points from me...
price was little bit high ....50TL each person.

Yeah the prices at those places are ridiculous, they are not even that "high grade".

Already preparing to rip off the new comers.

I guess if they serve quality food then its bearable but still, this is a village not a city!
