Don't get hot under the collar. They could have been TC's, Armenians or Maronites. Some even looked English.

No more Turkish in Cyprus!

That message hasn't filtered through to Lca Municipality. Most of the street names here are shown in Turkish. And they are not leftover relics - some of them are new signs.

Reh, Kurupetos, why do you say that. Gasman has stated a fact. Nothing wrong with facts is there? :?

The above picture was taken along the sea front going towards Makenzie.

A nice Turkish Street name.- BOZ KURT Sokak. Other names have been modernised and also include Turkish names.

I wish they had the Greek names in the north, but that is a different issue.

As the negotiations process in Cyprus continues, all eyes have turned to the Yeşilırmak-Pirgo crossing point which will be opened on Thursday, the 14th of October.

UN, EU officials and both sides leaders also will be at opening....... I will be there too ............. hoping to see CF members over there.......

As a new crossing point opens up this week in Yeşilırmak, the opening of the Aplıç Border Gate is now on the agenda. :!: :!: :!:

Just driven back home down Koca Tepe, past Istanbul, Umm Haram and Mehmet Ali, Boz Dag, Ak Deniz and into my road.

I too think it is a great shame that they changed the names of places in the North.

Deniz that is one of the old TC houses that has been turned into a business. I think you will find that is just one road back from the seafront. I pass it every day.

It's one of the very few that has had a lick of paint and been 'done up a bit' so it does rather stand out from most of the rest.

I am indebted to you for the picture. Reading your itinary has put a further smile on my face. The name BOZ KURT and KOCATEPE are such important names in Turkish history.
I suppose our more learned GC friends will know what they are. Nothing to do with Cyprus though.
