I dont know what shop shah has been into to give that idea, possibly he has a superiority complex or maybe he went into a north london branch - lets face it north londons shite anyway. :D
In Germany LIDL isnt percieved as a cheap shop, just another shopping chain. you think people who make the cars you crave for do cheap and shitty?
In Germany there is a magazine called TUV that is the same as WHICH magazine in the UK. Reguarly they test goods from various outlets and products sold by LIDL often do very well, its not just a food store!
I have a set of loppers and shears brought from LIDL eight years ago still working perfectly, cost me five quid each when i purchased them.
Their special offers are well worth investigating.
Wether the Cyprus outlets operate to the same procedures remains to be seen.

That would be true if the Germans had the same taste in food as they had it in cars.

Whats shite about North London?

Hampstead? Muswell Hill? Highgate Village? Golders Green? High Barnet?

I'll tell you whats shite about North London, LIDL!!

Oh wait, theres no scummy LIDL in any of the above places, guess why?

But still, this is not London we are talking about, this is Cyprus!

A Mediterranean island!!

People come here for good food and good weather, but we here want to shop from LIDL because it is just soo amazing!

Sometimes I'm too glad the North has not been "Europeanized"!!

Are you kidding me man?! Salmon from LIDL!?! "Fresh" meat?!?!

And you are in the catering business?

First of all LIDL is at the bottom of the supermarket food chain, ASDA has more quality and class yet that is just as scummy but at least edible.

Cheap and scummy food might be pretty popular in Europe, but this is the Mediterranean god dam it, no one is going to expect me to shop from LIDL!

More than ONE MILLION people shop daily at LIDL !!!!
Their Icelandic FRESH Smoked Salmon is superb and a bloody good value for money and so are most of their other products.
Another important aspect is their treatment of their staff , European way not as the way that Cypriot supermarkets treat their staff !!

Cheap labour.

Would you describe the Indians who flooded the UK as "peasants" as well?

Because that would also make you a peasant that has flooded the UK back in the day.

Idiot.

30 Billion people eat Mc Donalds every day, does not make it good, but cheap, yes!

Cypriot markets treat their staff like shit probably because Cypriots treat everyone like shit!!

If I want good smoked salmon I would go to a million other place before I would walk into a LIDL!

Give it up man, LIDL is scum, anyone with a half taste for decent food would at least go to Tescos!

Well, it's not Cypriot is it?

GCs seem to have only wanted to join the EU for one reason - to get Turkey's arse kicked by a bigger army than they have.

They don't like any of the rest of the package.

Must say, never seen anyone give up their 'currency' in favour of the euro as quietly as the Cyps did. Hardly a murmur.
