Cyprus & Luxembourg have the lowest VAT in the EU, 15%. If I am not mistaken the VAT for food products is no more than 5%.

I am sorry but LIDL is nothing but a cheap shit hole for cheapskate North Europeans who would eat cardboard to stay alive.
Surely Cypriots would have a lot more to look forward to than cheap tin/frozen cuisine!
