Anyone knows when Lidl opens now in Cyprus.
I heard today that they got a new injunction which will delay them again.
Cant believe that local supermarkets are so scared and try so hard to stop them from opening.
What ever happened I am huge fan of LIDL and keep my finger cross that they open soon. LIDL go we wait for you.
Value for money , no frills and reasonable quality food and other items,
the Cypriot supermarkets have been fleecing the public for years now and are now pooing themselves !!!
Plus Lidl look after their staff unlike the greedy cypriot employers !
Good old Lidl !!!

More than 8500 stores throughout Europe !!
They know what they are doing and will change the pricing structures of Cypriot supermarkets to the benefit of the shopper !!
Go Lidl show them how is done !!!

They are also looking for more land to buy for new stores here. You can send them details of what you have to offer via their website.

Lidl first open in Germany in the 1930's as a small shop,it rapidly expanded a couple decades ago.You can check out the Lidl web site,by typing Lidl Cyprus. They are currently looking for land to rent or buy, with a population of at least 5000 residence, there are jobs on offer. There are adds during RIK 1 news, showing that they are here and ready to open shortly.
If you looked at the car parks of the sites, you would have noticed many cars. These are the employees preparing to open. There also has to be a Logo placed over the entrance, which has to be delivered. My contact said it would be open before the month is finished. They are sworn to secrecy and want a hugh impact when opening.Obviously it seems to work ?
Remember that the parent company is German and the are stickers to perfection.Just for interest sake,Aldi will also open in the future, this is the rival Brother of the Lidl Family.
