Certainly in Britain LIDL sell some excellent quality foods. Blended malt whisky (not single malt) is only £9.99 a bottle, some of the wines are top quality(for the money).
Somehow I cannot see the likes of SWS beans being sold there, the quality just isn't good enough.
Cyprus vegetables depend on the season, just like nature intended them to be. Unless of course you prefere the all-year-round Israeli GMO shit that looks the same and tastes of nothing 365 days a year.
Cyprus has amazing vegetables and especially fruits!
I am not sure about the alcohol prizes in the South but here in the North I have seen Whiskey for 4 liras (2 Euros) a liter, yes 1 liter! I would not drink it, but it is there for people who do not have livers.
One does not need scummy LIDL to be cheap.
Only when you beef your prices up to become like the EU, thats when LIDL comes into the game to sell you crap that is not cheap but less expensive!
LIDL is bad news, it only works in countries that sell you bad quality stuff for a lot of money. LIDL will never make any money here in the North
