Really?

So who are those millions of Afghans who vote in the elections despite threats and intimidation by the Taliban?

The millions that you would be happy see suffering under the Taliban if it meant defeat for the US.

I do believe that Me Ed is referring to the election which took place recently the results of which (surprise surprise) are said to be fraudulent and therefore are to be scrapped.

Such is the usual outcome of ANY election that does not meet the criteria of those powers that wish to enforce their 'Democratic Principles' upon nations that do not want them.

I also believe that the US is distributing vast sums of money to the Taliban, hoping for a conditional withdrawal, such tactics may result in a situation where the US are actually financing their enemies, quite an interesting scenario, almost like paying someone to give you a good hiding.

Can not believe there are people in Cyprus who support the Taliban , modern day savages who prohibit women from educational facilities , punish people who dare to shave , ban music , execute women for committing the crime of going out with faces uncovered and are sworn enemies of the civilized world!!!
The Taliban are modern day savages , cruel and heartless barbarians yet there are people in ....Cyprus who support these savages!

Maybe a closer analysis of 'The Civilized World' might give you a clue as to why there are some who UNDERSTAND (which does NOT mean support) the reasons for why other societies wish to maintain their own standards.

Frightful as WE may regard them, they are THEIR standards and they may regard OURS with equal disdain.

Simple actually.....................just needs a little thinking about. (IMHO)

Fraudulent or not, and I don't dispute these claims, you still choose to ignore the main point and that is millions of Afghans did vote and do not want to go back to the Taliban regime.

I don't really care what the Afghans want, it's up to them and I don't think fundamentally you do either.

The difference between us is that you and others would be ecstatic to see ordinary Afghans fall back into a life of misery under the Taliban so as to serve your irrational lust to see the US go down in a humiliating defeat.

If the Taliban chose to give peace a chance you would see a huge difference in the quality of life for ordinary Afghans, but of course you and others would happily forfeit this to see the US go down.

Sick.

All third world nations suffer from voter fraud claims to a certain or lesser extend. Afghanistan given its recent turbulent history is no exception, did any one expect European type of an election , of course not but at least it was an election as best as could possibly be in this corrupt and backward nation.
