Yup! Get the popcorn out again...

I thought this was Cyprus Forum, not a Brit site probem.

If you feel so concerned about what is happening there then post on British sites - most of the items are either old or represent the particular unrelaible view points of people with an Agenda.

even better P*off there yourself and show by wonderful example who much they can learn from Cyprus, like how to fiddle free dental sugery, how to get four pensions, how to get taxfree income decribe as invoice free autoamtic expenses, the art of settling commercail disputes with car bombs, how to rip off peroperty buyers with post contract mortgages, how to U turns in busy roads, the true meaning of a red traffic light being go with caution, that thet big black number 50 on a white back-ground in a red circle is the minimum speed in residential road, how to let muderers with a lfe sentence climb out of hospital windows to do drug business, how to find sinecures for friends and relations in state run entities, etc.,

Need I go on?

Otherwise you increasingly come across as a rather sad individual who can only promote your own country by racially motivated attacks on others.

Pathetic!

PS I like Cyprus - most Cypriots are very amiable, it is reasobaly safe for families, good scenery, good climate (though we do need a bit mpre rain) good food, good lifestyle, etc.

 Dude, these people are neck deep in corruption and you’re trying to cover their arse? I thought you hated corruption and were all over the place supporting O’ Dwyer’s cause! :?

You’ve suddenly become unrecognizable! :?

Hmm, perhaps this has something to do with it… Image

Taxpayers' money given to corrupt charities

The Government department in charge of Britain's £5.6bn aid budget has been accused of "unjustifiable secrecy" because it is refusing to disclose the names of charities and developing countries found to have fraudulently obtained money donated on behalf of UK taxpayers.

Figures obtained by The Independent under the Freedom of Information Act show that the Department for International Development has lost nearly £720,000 over the past five years as a result of "fraud, corruption and abuse" by governments in the developing world or NGOs using British funds.

British Banks in Cohoots with Corrupt Nigerian Politicians?

A new report by the watchdog group Global Witness charges British banks with accepting millions of dollars from Nigerian politicians accused of corruption.

One former governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, brought some $6 million into Britain and deposited it with the Royal Bank of Scotland. "This account received $4 million,” said a Global Witness spokesman. “Of that, $2 million was a corrupt bribe paid by a contractor to secure a contract."

The report, called International Thief, covers 1999 to 2005. It is based on court documents from cases brought by the Nigerian government to win back funds it said had been stolen by former governors.

By taking money from corrupt governors between 1999 and 2005, said the report, Barclays, NatWest, RBS, HSBC, and UBS helped to fuel corruption and entrench poverty in Nigeria.

Britain 'seen as more corrupt since MPs' expenses scandal'

Report by Transparency International says Britain has dropped in league table of countries perceived to be cleanest in world

Britain is seen as an increasingly corrupt country in the eyes of the world, in part because of the scandal caused by MPs' expenses claims, according to a report published today.

The report by Transparency International reveals that Britain has dropped dramatically to 20th in a league table of countries perceived to be the cleanest in the world.

Each year, Transparency International compiles a league table of all the countries in the world, ranking them as to the perceived levels of corruption among politicians and public officials. Four years ago, Britain was seen as the 11th cleanest country in the world. However the UK has steadily slipped and now nestles next to Chile and Qatar.
