Objectively, this is how I saw it.

Cars on the road were being pelted by stone throwing youths intent on causing damage.
Driver of the car fearing for his life put foot to get the hell outta there judging by the erratic driving. He hit the boy (unintentionally), slowed down after hitting the kid, stones came raining down and thought better of it so he sped off to avoid being stoned to death.

Sorry but them kids looked like they meant business.

Good for the settler. These alleged kids aren't throwing pebbles or gravel, but rocks, often large enough to cause serious injury and accidents.

The title is misleading aswell.
It should read : 'Furious Palestinian youths hell bent on revenge stone passing cars in retaliation to Israeli military strike. Driver narrowly escapes.'

Of course, if there were no illegal settlements then the settler would not have been subjected to a barrage of stones and the incident would not have occurred.

I am not condoning any of this, but you have to look at the whole picture. These young boys in hoods have been put up to these actions by the adults / parents. I wonder what the international press must pay these children to get their sick stories and images.

Jesus, some of these kids can't be more than about 9 years old. As if they really understand the political situation. This is akin to having children burgle peoples house knowing if they get caught they can't be tried.

I think the sick bastards who put these innocent kids up to this need shooting.

Any driver faced with such a situation would want to get the hell out of there, settler or not, wouldn't you???

I agree it looks like the scenario has been 'set up', but the consequences not fully foreseen (and lucky they were not worse for those hit by the car). Nonetheless, it is an indication of the hatred and contempt felt for the other in this whole desperate dispute.
