Then hurry to an otolaryngologist, perhaps it is not too late. Now, you go ahead and have the last word. I am done.

Get lost Anglo, we all know who brought the Turks back to Cyprus, yes it was the Anglos/Anglo Americans!

Bollocks! Turkey we never going to tollerate Cyprus as a part of Greece - `they had and have too many memories of the Greek attempt at Lebensraum called Megali in the 1920's: they were therefore always going to seek to involve themselves in Cyprus - Enosis as a dream should have ended in 1960, but the continuing desire for enosis turned into the nightmare that resulted in the defacto partioning of the Island in 1963. That was largely a home grown nightmare: what happned in 1974 with attempted Greek Junta invasion in 1974 also required local assistance, by people like you.

As it is, you and racist facist scum of your type have nothing to contribute to ending the illegal occupation of the north side of the Island by Turkey, except bile and hate, a Turkey which, despite all the UN resolutions and high words of many countries, are still there, and (right or probably wrong) unless there is something in it for Turkey there will be no change to that.

Makarios Droushiotis new book (H megali idea tis mikris hountas) is excellent. It is based on new material and describes the period just before the invasion. The role of the morons of the oracle type in Cyprus at the time is very well exposed and documented. The same people use the same patriotic jargon today and they will not rest until the whole of Cyprus is handed on a plate to Turkey.

Makarios of course made huge errors of judgement too, possibly of utmost importance but he also was a fervent enosis supported and his difference with the other morons was only tactical matters.

About Turkey 0f 1919 one must remember that Venizelos promised a Greece of two continents and five seas (at the expense of Turkey, of course). He became known as 2.5.3. (2 continents, 5 seas and 3 wars). Eventually he managed to destroy the Greeks of Turkey, who paid the ultimate price for his megali idea.

You're one funny guy...90%+ of Gcs including Akel voted for enosis at the time and you sit here 50 years later calling them idiots. Seriously? Want to let the world know that building the twin towers was also a mistake because someone would surely fly a plane through them?

And another thing 2 days ago you were naming Venizelos the Political Giant that he was, acknowledging when to make peace with the Turks and when to fight them. You even blasted oracle for daring to comment after you quoted his words calling her a political minion if I'm not mistaken.

And one more thing, do you also believe that Davutoglou is setting itself up for the same mistakes with his neo ottoman strategy?

Seriously, I'm not at all right-wing but I do think we are making a mistake allowing the pro-partitionist propagandists to house themselves in Cyprus from where they fleece us guiding tours to the occupied north to take "photographs" to sell to magazines to sell GC homes in the north etc.

Also, any visiting holidaymakers/job-hunters who expound Eroglu as a "President" and refer to the occupation as "Turkish Northern Cyprus" should be re-educated or repatriated immediately since some of them are a bit dense to correction.
'US'?,You mean mainland Greeks?that live half the year in the UK ?,
Re -educate?, you mean brainwash as to the realities to events leading up to 1974 surely?

Which vote are you referring to Gregory? As far as I know, there was never a vote on enosis. Regarding Venizelos, one can critisise any act of this person. In my view, he saved Greece when he signed the treaty of non aggression and friendship with Turkey. Greece was in a dire situation after 1922, with the economy a thousand times worse than it is today and the huge influx of diaspora Greeks who had nowhere to turn to, keeping an open front with Turkey would have been tantamount to suicide. What do you think on this? Do you agree with oracle that he made a mistake?

Your idea that one cannot critisise events that happened more than 60 years ago is strange to say the least. In my view enosis was a legitimate aspiration of the GC's but the way we went about realising this aspiration eventually brought the burying of the dream. The damage was done by those that supposedly wanted enosis more than anybody else. A priest with byzantine intrigue as his main weapon and a second rate general who was a political moron.

I agree. And what is this ENOSIS anyway? Sometimes said to be just a few nationalistic fanatics - even that most GCs didn't agree or even know about the 'Junta' and at other times said to be what nearly ALL GCs wanted?

Enosis was a junta pursuit?
I won't pretend I disagree 100% with what you said. It is the Megali Idea of the Cypriots that led to the invasion but because some great powers didn't want the Greek nation to expand to its actual limits (from Peloponisos to wherever there were Greek majorities) they caused the new Cypriot problem. In 1955, there's a quote by Nâzım Hikmet in an interview saying that no one can deny that Cyprus is a Greek island. So people who tend to forget that should actually remind themselves instead of be pricks and call people who remember that 'extremists'.

Check AKEL and other archives from 40s, 50s and 60s and you'll see that EVERYONE wanted Enosis with Greece. Then junta happened and 30 years later everyone who agreed with even 1% of what junta said is now regarded as a fascist and a nationalist and a racist..

Cyprus and Greece are the only "democracies" where the original inhabitants are now treated as 2nd rate citizens in favor of "multiculturalism" and "globalisation". And this will coincide with the fall of the EU members. Once Cyprus and Greece are flooded with non-Greeks, they will expand to Italy, Spain, England, Germany, France.. and people who feel this way are "racists"

Nobody wants actual extremists like ELAM wanting to dish out all immigrants (illegal ones should be deported right away though). But people who speak of historic truths are labelled as extremists which is a retarded new reality that exists in the last 10-15 years and it's ever growing.
I don't want to trade my language and my country for a global aspiration someone has. Let them experiment elsewhere. It was proven in 1960 that having a minority rule as much as the majority (18% controlling 50% of the government :? ) is a mistake, a fatal one. Let's not repeat it.
Enosis can no longer be achieved and I don't think anyone would actually want it at this point. Maybe citizens of Greece would rather be under the Republic of Cyprus this time :) Those who were here in the past years know my opinions on history and the Turkish minority of Cyprus I assume (there even were topics about me  ). You can't change history so don't expect me to be less pro-Cyprus. And you know what I mean by who is Cypriot and who is not...
