Many will know of the contributions made by the Tsimpedes Law Firm of the USA in the successful JLo, Rihanna, Timberlake, and now seemingly Iglesias, campaigns to stop the Illegal Regime's Propaganda Stunts for Back-door Recognition.
Here are 3 vids of Athan Tsimpedes and others speaking at a Lobby for Cyprus evening here in London last week...
(Respect to Grokked for putting them up for all to see)
By the way, I found an excellent quality version of the slideshow used by Athan Tsimpedes during his presentation, which people might want to take a look at
There's plenty of articles on the web, if one does a search for Athan Tsimpedes + Cyprus
While talking about internet searches ... I didn't get to ask a question I would very much have liked to have asked during the seminar, which is "Can Google be sued for providing so much advertising for 'Buy properties in Northern Cyprus' whenever one does any Cyprus-related searches" ?
Maybe some of our richer Cypriot compatriots and some community organisations could be prevailed upon to retain Mr Tsimpedes to pursue that case !
"CYPRIOTS SUE GOOGLE FOR ENCOURAGING SALE OF STOLEN PROPERTY" would have pretty good publicity value, and might well produce a few billion in damages ! Any rich takers in the community that might want to take a small risk in backing that idea ?
We could do with some headlines like that during coming months while the EU Parliament considers whether it should discuss lifting the 'embargoes' against the so called "TRNC" !

Some British newspapers were offering holidays to "North Cyprus" as prizes.
... I have an e-mail from one such paper's editor which brushed off my objections as personal choice to not enter the competition if one didn't agree with the politics of the place.

...... grokked's work mate. .... and yes a comforting reminder that there are many, many fellow campaigners all over the world, and that decades on there is still everything to struggle for.
From the forum ads tonight (won't put a link in case it is considered I am advertising again)
Themed Holidays > Salamis
Salamis, the ancient city which was the capital of Cyprus in 1100 BC, covers an area of one square mile along the sea shore. Under the Romans, the city was one of the greatest commercial centres of the eastern Empire. The ruins are well preserved after lying buried in the sand for a thousand years.
