Taking into account the sinister cultural practices of Turkey, the child probably faced the prospect of an honour killing if she refused to marry her first cousin of twice her age.

What's wrong with the guy? Is he so ugly that he couldn't form a normal relationship with a woman his age, that his family arranged a marriage with a child?

So, what are you going to do with Gul? :D

(Oh, I forgot, insan says for you it's normal)

I didn't say it's normal...

First of all, open a new thread under general section named i.e "marriage of under aged girls and incest throughout the human history" and be a sufficiently sane and mature woman to discuss such an issue without abusing it to insult the people of any ethnic group; then I'll be there to contribute the discussion of this issue...

Otherwise, keep amusing yourself with your disgusting insults(virtually)... Hatred in your heart, soul and brain against the people of some ethnic groups will keep rotting you...

no insan it wasn't a dig on the muslims...yes some are backwards...

it was about a well educated man, associate professor Abdullah Gül, GCB, GColIH, Ph.D, a 30 year old marrying a girl at age 30, and today a president of turkey...

yes he is a muslim, but accordingly he is well educated, and he shouldn't have known better than
1...marrying within the family could potentially spell problems?
2...marrying a girl with no qualms about it?
isn't there any education in turkey outlining potential problems marrying within the family?...

i can understand the uneducated peasants and the taliban mentality, but in turkey this is acceptable?...and modern country?

you do not see the despise others see in this?...

... and it seems it wasn't a dig on Abdullah Gul either... you came across that article on wikipedia and without the need for further research you put it forth on Cyprus problem section... and while some retards of forum abused it to make fun of whole TC community over what you put forth about Gul, you too joined them and gave us an impression that your intention was same too...

anyway... I haven't come across even a single article stating that Gul was married to his first cousin or second...

If he really was married to his first cousin at least in one article published by a Turkish left wing media would have focused on this issue for propaganda purposes but there isn't any article written about this issue and neither I've ever heard it...

If you have a TC or Turkish or Turcophone friend, you can have the below linked article translated to learn about the story of Gul's marriage...

http://www.haberturk.com/gundem/haber/3 ... eden-basti

If you've claimed 1/5 of the marriages in Turkey is a cross-cousin marriage, then I would have agreed with you... Moreover, marriages among close relatives are reprobated by vast majority of TCs and Turks...

The most interesting thing about this isuue is that cross-cousin marriages are still very common for most of the Kurdish origin, educated Turkish citizens...

The boy's name Costa \c(o)-sta, cos-ta\ is a variant of Constantine (Latin) and Costas (Greek), and the meaning of Costa is "constant, steadfast".

The baby name Costa sounds like Gustaw, Cassady and Giusto. Other similar baby names are Colt, Cort, Corty, Cosmo, Cosme, Kostas, Coster and Coty.

Maybe he is a Latin origin Sebriyod...

The nominative "O Costa" is incorrect. It is "O Costas"; otherwise it would be an "A" declension of a feminine noun! Like "H Anna", "H Maria" etc

"Costa" is only correct in the accusative i.e. "Tou Costa" -- but that's not the right case.

Most Greeks would choose to write it as "Kostas", anyway.

are you implying the some is trying to deface Gul's image by any chance on wiki, and the turkish president let slide?...

man you need to get a life...

i am sorry but i expected more from a well educated man in knowing the pitfalls of marriage between the family...obviously the motto of as long i get root, i don't give shit about my offsprings is well and alive...it shows the mentality of the individual...

this the 21st century and education is paramount to all citizens...but obviously this is totally ignored in muslim societies...actually in any society that practices such beliefs..

anyway titty man as long as you find nothing wrong all is good...happy breeding...
