The Cypriot Janus is the internal enemy of Cyprus because it is the enemy of our ally, ourselves, our side ....

The terms Greek and Turkish Cypriot come from the British. Greek Cypriots never did, and many still don't, refer to themselves as Ελληνο-Κύπριοι. They refer to themselves as Κυπραιοι and the Turkish Cypriots simply as Turks, never having considered the TCs as belonging to the same country/community as them. For most Cypriots, referring to yourself as Κυπραίος automatically means you are also a Greek but in certain situations we stress our Cypriot identity and at other times our collective Greek identity. I'm sure it's the same for Greeks from all over where there is a strong regional identity. It's not really a problem. Remember EOKA stands for Εθνική Οργάνωσις Κυπρίων Αγωνιστών – National Organisation of Cypriot Fighters.

Self contradicting fallacy... and it wasn't even the Brits who invented it but the Ottomans who labeled:

Muslims = "Turks"
Eastern Orthodox = "Greeks"
Catholics = "Latins"

Cyprus my dear is not created my a thousand bastards /thieves and criminals who left their country to create a new one like Australia/ USA and many others ,giving to this new country a new name/Ethnicity.. Greeks or Hellines of Cyprus -you can choose the name- are in the island as LOCALS!!Please therefore upgrate your education and stop comparing different things.

Very bad analogy and it will bite you in the face.

Just have a look where Australia is today compared to Greece. And all this is a mere 230 years! Not bad for a bunch of "thieves"!

(Greek: Έλληνες, /ˈe̞line̞s/), also known as Hellenes,
I thought that Greek was the English word for ...Hellene !!

Not a problem you uneducated imbecile!

A Greek is a national of the Republic of Greece. A Greek Citizen!

Hellenes are those belonging to an ethnos, but are not necessarily a Greek National. We are Hellenes as are some 20 million others in the diaspora who are neither a Greek or Cypriot national!

Mate, you are so fucking stupid!!!! :roll:

That is salient.

When the British first took hold of our island, they referred to us as above. The terms 'Greek' and 'Cypriot' were synonymous and interchangeable. There is BBC Pathe news archive footage using these terms; plus some governors' quotes. The "TCs" were just referred to as Turkish.

When they wanted to destroy our country and identity, sensing loss of control, the Brits tainted the term Κυπρίων by throwing the Turks in with us!

"ethnos" is an imagination in megalomanic Greek's heads. It does not exist!

The fact that you constantly have to explain this vague and bizarre notion is evident of its lack of sense.

Today, Greece and Greeks are just a corrupt, bankrupt, and beaten group of incompetent individuals.
