Shhhhhh

I'm saying nothing about that and I would never admit to central Limassol to Kato Paphos in 32 minutes on a friends Hayabusa

After living in Canada and South Africa I'll just name the positives.

Car alarms, gear locks, steering wheel locks are not mandatory in CY. (yet)
Burglar bars, safety doors, mace, home firearms, home alarms etc are not mandatory in Cy (yet)
Metal detectors at banks and other commercial buildings are virtually non existent.
Lack of street beggers and homeless bums.

Little to no fear of being carjacked at traffic lights or mugged and stabbed on the street for loose change and your mobile phone. (including your wife and family)
No squatter camps stretching for miles homing thousands of shack dwellers.
Striking in Cyprus does not include torching of cars and buses and angry mobs attacking random passerby's.
Burglaries in Cy do not usually include rape, torture and murder.

Oh and Halloumi and Cyprus sausage... and frappe. of course

Unfortunately some of those things are required in Limassol. My 80 year old Auntie was mugged in Limassol the other week. The robber must have though she was taking a bag of money to the bank just down the street. Instead of money he got away with her bag of kemas (minced meat).

Sunshine and nice beaches.

Also, the laid back lifestyle. This can also be a bad thing though!

More and more recognised retail chains coming to Cyprus which is great as it also creates jobs.
Lots of Bank Holidays
