Burning of Greek flag

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Paphitis » Sat Oct 09, 2010 10:10 am

I am sure there was barbarism from both sides Bananiot!

The allies encouraged Greece to invade Anatolia, as they attempted to take the Peninsula and control the straights.

But don't try and convince us that the Greeks were more barbaric than the Turks.

Attaturk, ordered hundreds of unarmed Armenians to attack ANZAC positions at Gallipoli. The Armenians were forced to charge the ANZACs or be executed! So they charged the ANZAC trenches, unarmed and with no chance. They all died, wave after wave of Armenians, running for their lives and being gunned down!

Attaturk was the CO of our enemy at Gallipoli!

Silly me, I forgot they were Allied with the Germans!

As of March 1915, there were three aircrafts in Gallipoli, manned by German and Turkish pilots. These were brought together to form the Turkish 1st Air Squadron, under the command of the German Lieutenant Ludwig Preussner.

Who was the Commanding Officer of the Ottoman Troops? Who started this holocaust?

Do you have a creditable link to prove this (as GR might ask)?

In Cyprus the Greek flag is considered a national symbol and deliberately damaging a Cypriot national symbol is considered illegal.

Can anyone explain to me why this is the case?

Proves the point once more, there are no REAL cypriots, they are either Turks or Greeks and there is no nation called Cyprus which is independent.

That is a fallacy.

It's written in the RoC Constitution that the Greek flag can be flown alongside the Cypriot one, at state institutions.

The Greek flag is only flown independently in Churches, which are NOT state institutions.

I am interested in any links you will provide for the slaughter of the Armenians by the allies.

At the time of the landings Colonel MK and his 19th Division saved the day by disobeying his C-i-C. He was only one of many Colonels of the campaign. In no way was he the CO of the Ottoman army at Gallipoli.

I did a search for the Australian War Museum and got the Australian War Memorial so guess this is the place you got your info from. I followed the link and did a search of the site for Armenian with Gallipoli and got nothing of consequesnce.
