Human Rights restrictions!!!!!

Postby CBBB » Wed Oct 06, 2010 6:12 pm

I am please to announce that from Wednesday 7 October CF is to be rebranded as the Britain versus Cyprus Forum; we had thought to call it the 'Cypriots Hate All Visitors' (CHAV) but our PR company suggested we would be inundated with new members who wore Burberry, pikeys or those from the underclasses - OK, I know we already have Yialoser.

Membership will remain free but Forum members will be regulated to adopt far higher standards of behaviour. However, for those wishing for a more liberal posting style a Premium membership will now be offered at a rate of €100pa, this brings many privileges:

General Section:
Members will be able to bully Newbies, so that they never return to post again.
Members will be able to say 'if you dont like it here, leave my country' (even if they do not live in 'their' country).

Meet New Friends
Here, members will be allowed to tell everyone with an alternative sexual orientation or interest, that they are a 'Perv'.

Classified
Members will be able to point out, for any advertsised item, that is is available on Bangledeshi Ebay for half the price, or, if it is a car, that their brother's mate had driven one once and that it was 'rubbish'.

CyProb
Member will be able to point out that the CyProb is soley the the fault of:
the Brits/GC/Greeks/TC/Turkey/the US/Anna Vissi (delete as approriate)

Now we have to pay to do this?

lol

Why don't they call it what it really is?
The bitching, whinging, complaining- want it to be just like UK- Forum.

Stub your toe on the side walk?
Hell, log onto CF and tell us all about these DogDamn Cypriots and their substandard sidewalks!

They aint got your fav beer like back at your local pub?
Hell, log onto CF and let rip!

But make sure you include ALL of Cyprus, not just that specific area.

Don't be daft. If Brits want 'UK' they could stay there or go back there.

Those who want somewhere like the UK in preference over Cyprus have voted with their feet and GONE TO LIVE IN THE UK! And are staying there.

I want it to be Cyprus but would like some of the sleazier aspects addressed and would love it to be more appealing to visitors than it is currently.

Who or what is a Cypriot anyway? Is someone who left here as a toddler, taken by their parents, educated in that foreign country, married a native of that foreign country (aint as if there's no Cyps in the UK) and remained in that country, after being educated there. Remained of their own free will and uses Cyprus as a 'holiday home destination' a REAL Cypriot?

I have a neice who has been here since infancy. She was educated in Cypriot Schools, is engaged to a bloke in the CNG. Cannot even remember ever living in the UK. But, according to the forum Oracle, my neice, being a British has no right to voice any opinions on Cyprus or Cypriots, should fuck off out of here if there is anything at all she doesn't like about it.

A girl who spent more time in Cyprus before she went to College than Oracle has in her whole life. A girl who lives among Cypriots, mixes with Cypriots, is marrying a Cypriot and who loves Cyprus and doesn't want to live anywhere else.

I know who I think is more 'Cypriot' and it aint Lady O.

Would your niece generalize and blame the whole Cyprus for things that are the fault of specific people? No real Cypriot would do that. Would she try to put Cyprus down by constantly saying negative things about Cyprus over the Internet? No real Cypriot does that. Cyprus is like our mother. She might have some negative aspects but they don't seem so negative to us because we lover her so much... and we definitely wouldn't go on the Internet saying bad things about our mother either ;)

I,ve always believed its where you were born BUT that is,nt true of many anymore, my nieghbour was born in Kenya but is British, another UK friend had a Cypriot daddy (who came to the UK and left shortly after impregnating his british Mum) and wants very much now to become 'more Cypriot' which is cool considering his Dad did,nt care about him ever. He encapsulates every thing Cypriot does,nt speak the language well but he is following the lifestyle to a tee, even goes to church.

I hardly recognise Cypriots on this Forum at times as the ones I know are just normal very friendly kind hospitable people who show me often the way to be in life, but then I,m not going to be nice to anyone who is shite to me, the ones on here tend to be a bit more vociferous and delicate and oversensitive unlike the Brits who can happily pick fault with something right in front of them and try get it sorted, shout and campaign and vote and make change.
Its probably noticeable that when GR does his campaign against the UK on anything very few Brits argue, mind you not a lot of point   But DARE say anything about Cypriots or Cyprus well

Its not something you notice while here on holiday its apparent the longer you stay.

On the whole Cyprus is a good time place but not a long time place, as the issues imo never get sorted and things stay the same. Thats just my take on it. Obviously that will never shut me up on saying what I will always say to the unrecognisable people (and only a few of them)who tend to overtake this forum BUT they are interesting to pass the time away now and again
Its perfectly normal for anyone living in Cyprus to say "I don,t like that' I hate that" And I,m going to do something about that" You honestly need to get out more IF you really believe ANY other nationality will come and live here for years and not find something that irks them?

But I have never come across any locals like the ones on here :? So I would agree that being brought up elsewhere totally changes your perspective of your birth country, I know as I,m married to someone who did exactly that. His rose tinted specs still have,nt changed and yet the world thinks his country is on the verge of a nuclear attack.....He does,nt think so   bless

When the only thing you can say about Cyprus is "I don,t like that' I hate that" and you barely ever find anything good to say then it is not normal at all to continue living here. If you really hate it that much then there is no excuse for you to continue staying here.

When you meet the Cypriots that you talk about do you constantly bitch on how bad Cyprus and Cypriots are? If you do then believe me - what they think of you is not very different from what we think of you even though they might not say it to you. And saying something bad about Cyprus privately is one thing. Going on a forum to throw shit on Cyprus all day is much worst since it shows your intention to harm Cyprus.
