Gasman a serious question if I may.

Why are you apparantly so critical of just about all aspects of Cyprus life?

It seems you take every opportunity to criticise so many different things about Cyprus and the Cypriot people.

I understand that you live on the Island and as a resident have this right but you (IMO) take it far further than can be reasonably expected.

I just cannot understand why if you are so critical you choose ( I Presume anyway ) to continue living there.

Having lived for many years in Cyprus and still being a regular visitor I have learned to accept that certain aspects of life are not perfect , but the pros still far outweigh the cons in comparison to living ing the UK

  Cant cope with one Brit lady and how can they cope with 30,000 foreign troops?

There must be a moral to this thread, somewhere.

If more of you would be a bit self-critical, you would not have to worry about Gasmans reporting of these minor problems now, would you?

Criticism is welcome.

But, what this Carbuncle on Cyprus offers is inexplicable one-sided loathing of all things GC, whether present in Cyprus or in the Diaspora. Treacherous views on all things Greek and resentment at the brotherliness of the two nations. She offers anathema to any friends or allies of Cyprus, the traditions and culture of Cyprus, our religious leaders, our elected representatives, and some nasty things about Scotland to boot. All these serve to portray a character who is sadly lacking in anything human -- Oh hang on, she loves anything Turkish but won't live in the "trnc" or Turkey because she values her Euros and free health-care too much.

She mocks the refugees -- rubbing everyone's nose in her much-loved poo as she recounts her freedom to explore the island the rest of us are prevented from enjoying -- the source of much pleasure for her. She is a sadist who chose to come to Cyprus because she is nothing like the real Brits back in the UK - an outcast. She can feel big in Cyprus as she lords it over the natives, glorying in their torture.

Sorry, I'm a bit busy, otherwise I would really tell you what I think of her posts ...

Key thing being sweetie, that she lives here and ergo is not merely a tourist blind to the realities of full time life here.

She chose to move to Cyprus. Most of the Diaspora on here were too young, or born abroad or children of war-situation migrants and had no choice in where they ended up.

But, I can forgive her anything except the mockery she makes of the refugees and other GCs who cannot reside in the northern part of the island.

More desperate made up fiction from Oracle. Free health care? Perish the thought. I PAY for my health care! Glad I can too. Am currently transporting an aged neighbour to and fro the hospital. He is on two crutches and was given the earliest appointment for 3 months hence to see someone about his problems.

Oracle, what gives YOU the right to criticise the UK every chance you get? Oh, hang on ... maybe it's because YOU LIVE THERE? Therefore do find some aspects of life there not to your liking?

Hmmm. Well I live in CYPRUS. And I've never lived anywhere where the natives cannot abide any tiny criticism of the way it is run or how the people conduct themselves.

I do love my life and I do enjoy life. I'd be a strange sort of person (bit like you are) if I not only enjoyed seeing cruelty to animals, dogshit everywhere and no one picking up after their dogs (you champion those who don't clean up after them remember?)

And if I thrilled at the sight of the litter EVERYWHERE. And rubbed my hands with glee (as you do) every time I hear of another person being ripped off by a Cypriot property developer or lawyer.

These irritations do not comprise the WHOLE OF LIFE. Your whole life seems to be spent on this forum insulting anyone who dares to disagree with your racist rabid hate rants.

You can only brook those who join in with you insulting everything TC or Turkish and can't abide anyone saying one nice word about them.

Tough.

I do wish Cypriots took more pride in their beautiful country and didn't despoil it with rubbish and litter everywhere, especially at the beauty spots (and I DO help clear them up - do you?). I do wish they picked up after their dogs in the streets. I do wish they'd not park on pavements everywhere. I don't like the way every resort area is turning into Happy Hour/Widescreen Football/all day fryups/Irish pub. And I dearly hope that one day they sort their sewage system out.

And I make no excuses for any of that.

I get out and explore every inch of this island. Some of these things spoil the enjoyment of doing that. Perhaps if, on the rare occasions you pop over here, you GOT OUT MORE - you too might find your enjoyment of the island marred by these things too.

Instead of gluing yourself to your keyboard and DEFENDING the practices as you do.

You are running out of lies to tell about me.

You've run thro

I'm a bloke
I live in the 'TRNC'
I'm a carpetbagger
I came here illegally from the 'TRNC'
I have other 'IDs' on this forum (I definitely don't)
I've been a member here in the past (definitely haven't)
Spy for the Turks
TC Sympathiser (haven't quite worked that one out)
An Estate Agent (if you knew me you would know how hilarious that one is)
A scrounger
And now 'taking advantage of free health care'

The more lies you tell about me the more obvious you make it you know absolutely NOTHING about me except what I've chosen to let you know.

I suppose you think the more shit you throw at me the more likely some of it will stick.

It's impossible to debate anything seriously with you. You are unhinged.

But it is still possible to DISAGREE with almost everything you believe in, everything you try to convince others of, everything you admire, everything you defend and everything you say about me!

You make yourself sound and look very stupid to the one or two on here that DO know much about me. But you manage to make yourself look like that even when you don't mention me - which isn't often.

Perhaps now your attention has been drawn to the shit and litter everywhere all over Cyprus - you might get out and take part in some clean up ops? Or at least try to draw attention to it in the hope that something might be done or that attitudes might change.

On second thoughts perhaps not - carry on defending the litter, the dogshit and fervently hoping everyone will (like you) sweep it under the carpet as no word of criticism must ever be levelled at Cyprus or Cypriots.

You even had a go at me when I mentioned the highest road death toll etc. now anyone who can defend THAT (the needless deaths of mostly young people) needs certifying.

And for every single little complaint your answer (like GR) is to quote figures for other countries.

Countries WHERE I DO NOT LIVE so have no personal experience of it and am not affected daily by it.

What is it?

If you live here but were not BORN here you have no right not to like anything and must fuck off out of Cyprus.

If you were born here but hardly ever lived here since you have the perfect right to criticise YOUR host country - your country of CHOICE to reside in but will hear no word against the country you rejected?

Yes you definitely have a screw or two loose. Now I am sure where you have a house in Cyprus (in that twee Brit protectorate) these things are not a very big problem in your immediate surroundings - because you are surrounded by Brits! Same thing when you are back walking the countryside with your countryside 'hubby' and dog in the UK.

Try living in Cyprus for a few years among CYPRIOTS.

You've lost the plot woman! Go have a lie down.

I am home from a bloody good afternoon and evening out with the 'natives'.

Tis YOU who are nothing like the natives!

Make your mind up about the Brits will ya too? You've accused me enough times of being a TYPICAL one!

Lordy you really should keep a note of your past posts! They are no end of a source of amusement.

This person goes beyond most any other and is atypical. Without doubt, she is a paid professional dirt-digger. A relentless obsessive to denigrate all that is Cypriot and its associations. Including any Scottish connections.

I think it's down to her lack of grey matter and confusing British stuff posted here specifically against the Cyprus Problem interventions as license to tell us we have a rubbish country anyway!
