Anyhow I give up don't care

After all you’ve bragged in here, if and when you ever start a business doing custom designed PCs I guess you’ll provide the many services like…

1. Research and shop for parts
2. Assemble
3. Configure & test
4. Install onsite
5. Take customer through
6. Provide customer support
7. Do any running around for any warranty claims for the next two years

…all for FREE in the name of the Fraggie charity!

And within a few months the wife will throw you out the house when you ask her to work the pavement! Image

you do all that?...you need to evolve...taking customer through?...onsite install?...manyou need to re think this business model...

the computer businees these days does not allow for these services...its a mature market...

you got no hope getting these prices in cyprus and the prices i gave do not include GST/VAT...add your tax on top...

and no one works for free by the way...the apple phone you got how much did you pay?...coz the electronics used are worth a whole of US$50...thats how much the copies are selling and they use the same electronic componets as the iphone...but you were more than willing in bending and giving your money to apple...why is that?...

as i said apples for apples GR's price wasn't that far off the mark....when you consider running around picking parts, assembling, installing windows and testing...

end of the day you pay peanuts you get monkeys...

I hope your not serious about this statement.

Makes perfect sense to me Fraggie...

How much can you possibly manage in that hour you claim to do your miracles?

Do you even flash the BIOS of a brand new motherboard as you should? :?

Here’s how much time you need in the real world if you’re to please customers…

DAY 1:

Assembly: 45 to 90 minutes
Windows install: 30 minutes
BIOS flash and config: 15 to 40 minutes
Video card setup: 0 to 30 minutes
Windows config: 2 to 3 hours
Misc necessary utilities: 40 minutes
If Ms Office + Adobe required: Add 30 minutes

DAY 2:

Testing: For the whole day

DAY 3:

Deliver, install, add any peripherals, and take customer through: 1.5 to 3 hours.

And that’s not counting Murphy’s law!

2. Just proved your are clueless about gamers. So you are saying this "Logitech Cordless Desktop Bluetooth MX 5500 with LASER Optical Mouse" is better than a G15 keyboard and G500. Gamers don't want wireless stuff it's slow and give's you headaches when there are too many around. Plus G15 is all about macro keys which you need in games such as World of Warcraft or any other MMORPG, strategy game.
3.That power supply is a newer model than the one you suggested, and why would you buy a 1000watt PSU for a single slot GPU 480 GTX. An 850watt corsair or lets say 750Watt one is more than enough.
4.Why would you need a network card? The Asus Rampage III Extreme which again is a newer model than the one I suggested includes 2 ethernet ports.
5. The monitor I suggested gives a higher contrast ratio.
6. Of course I did but asking for 1000 euro just to setup a PC that requires only 1 hour of setup is a lot.

I have built 4 rigs on my own took me 1 hour to put the parts together and a day on stress testing the pc for BSOD errors. At the end of the day everything worked perfect.

Only downside about building a PC is getting faulty hardware which is a pain in the butt to go through the RMA process.

And you've just worked out GR is clueless.

So your telling me the most profits that apple made is through creating this phones? Your so wrong on this one.

Anyhow at least I don't pay 3500 euros for a pc that will cost me only 2000euros.

not what i said, mate...you weren't born when apple was established...you probably were in nappies when they nearly went belly up and gates bailed them out...

end of the day apple is a marketing company, and they know how to play the game...they can package a turd in box, and you'll que up just so you can buy it...at phenomenal prices if i mught add...

lets look at the cost of building an iphone...the costs wouldn't be higher than US$120 with 16GB of ram...how do i know this?...coz a simple chinese company can make them and offer them for this price...the only difference is the software, but the hardware and costs are very similar...

i am not saying they do not make good products...all i am saying they are overcharging coz they con people believing they are getting their monies worth...now you get it?...the same as you with building "4 rigs" and all of a sudden became an expert at knowing how everything works...

yes you paid cheaper, you assemble in 1 hr and then spend the 24 hrs troubleshooting coz
1...you bought cheap
2...you bought faulty equipment
the reason you bought cheap and faulty, is because the company you bought from have a policy that says we do not test faulty equipment, we just keep on selling them to the next fool and one day the product will not come back...seen it many times...

do not bother arguing with me coz till 2.5 years ago i had a direct account with nVidia making their VGA cards...i still deal with them on the quadro products, but after 22 years in PC component manufacturing it was time for me to get out...my current customers include, IBM, now Lenovo, HP and DELL...

so i stand by my comment...you pay peanuts you get monkeys...
