If Turkey enters the EU, and presuming that Turkey has withdrawn from Cyprus in order to achieve this, then Cyprus should withdraw from the EU!!

You left out southern Italy and why not Alexandria (Egypt) for good measure.

This must be the 'Jokes' section, surely.

There were Greek settlements as far as France, and a Greek even circumnavigated "Pretania", over 2,500 years ago; but these were never regarded as Greek States, merely trading outposts and exploratory resources (bit like Britain's Antarctic Stations) -- but you know full well Hermes' map is an accurate depiction of what Greece would have been today, if the Ottoman-Brits hadn't sliced her apart!

Forgive me for considering Alexandria as part of the Hellenic world. You even throw that generosity of mine back in my face.

Are you really that difficult to satisfy?

I reckon there’s a greater chance of the US joining the OIC than Turkey joining the EU!

I reskon you're right! But that is mainly due to their continued occupation of and non recognition of Cyprus, and other issues pertaining to religious freedoms, democracy, freedom of the press, Aegean Sea and FIR disputes with Greece, and the Kurds!

Strangely enough that’s exactly what my brain translates them to as well, but let me remind you of a very similar British ailment …

For how many decades did the Brits go on about Hitler’s Germany and wished nothing but the worse for anything German, even though England wasn’t even invaded and occupied by Germany?

It wasn't a good time to be a Daschund either, when a nation of animal lovers apparently took to booting them in the street for being krauts! :?

I do believe this 'nation of animal lovers' re Brits is a myth Eric. Especially now, seeing how many ex pats are abandoning their pets here when they return home.

However, Cypriots boot dogs in the streets (and teach their kids to do the same) just for BEING DOGS not for any associated 'nationality' reasons.

It wasn't only the Brits who had an axe to grind with Germany after WW2 and these figures might have something to do with that:

Mmm, imagine the feeling if you were also invaded and occupied for 36 years...

They must be booting the ones you abandon to save them from the slow suffering and death.

This constipated gasbag supposedly "sees" an awful lot of bad things ... do you think some of them are pure fantasies?
