Strangely enough that’s exactly what my brain translates them to as well, but let me remind you of a very similar British ailment …

For how many decades did the Brits go on about Hitler’s Germany and wished nothing but the worse for anything German, even though England wasn’t even invaded and occupied by Germany?

Not a very intelligent post GR and you know it.

The non-invasion of England was not for the lack of trying, but hey, you would not care a bit for the truth of the matter. As they say, time is a good healer. In 1963, I may have been angry at the GC's or may even hated them; but I realised it was the politicians and leaders who ought to be 'hated'. If you were one of these 'leaders' then, you would have been 'hung, drawn an quartered' by your own,by now.

You left out southern Italy and why not Alexandria (Egypt) for good measure.

This must be the 'Jokes' section, surely.

What's more, Cypriots and Greeks are ten to 100 times wealthier than Anatolians and so we can buy their properties and ensure supremacy, back in our ancestral homelands.

Here we go again! One minute the GCs are super wealthy and can buy everyone else at one end of the road and sell them at the other.

Next minute we have GR and Bill bleating that they are so piss poor due to the invasion that they cannot even afford to have their sewage system brought up to modern standards and that their old folk have to trawl the streets selling lotto tickets because they'd die of starvation if they didn't and that the only reason all the GCs living in TC property haven't applied a lick of paint to them in over 30 yrs is because they cannot afford the fecking paint unless the Govt gives them a 'grant' to buy it with (despite the laughably low rents they pay).

Make yer minds up!

Orifice including the GREEKS in the 'wealthy' statement - well ... that should DEFINITELY be in the JOKES section lol!

Oh, maybe she meant the few super rich crooked, corrupt tax dodging Greeks who screwed the 'ordinary' Greeks over? Those that had the foresight and sense to move out of Greece? And live in the UK and elsewhere? Like O?

There were Greek settlements as far as France, and a Greek even circumnavigated "Pretania", over 2,500 years ago; but these were never regarded as Greek States, merely trading outposts and exploratory resources (bit like Britain's Antarctic Stations) -- but you know full well Hermes' map is an accurate depiction of what Greece would have been today, if the Ottoman-Brits hadn't sliced her apart!

That will be France, UK, and Germany's problem! :D

Meanwhile, we can recolonise a vacant Turkey -- and given the rest of Europe to work in, most Turks would leave Cyprus as well!

they would probably flood the north of cyprus with turkey-eu cards if they where allowed to join, they would probably try change all our rules and change the eu in a bad way. turkey should be kept where they belong with the mongolians.

There won't be a "north", as you mean, if Turkey were in the EU because they can only get in if they remove the occupation. You are too young to remember, but there once was a Cyprus which was not flooded by Turks!

They flood Cyprus, now, because they are trying to get as close to an EU country as they can (to utilise its facilities) and are able to do so, courtesy of the invasion.

If they were equal members in the EU, not only would Settlers stop coming to Cyprus (they would choose UK, France and Germany first), but the Settlers already here would probably leave also.

And we would be free to visit or live in the land of our ancestors in "Turkey" if we wished also! :D

but turkey has stated many times they will give up eu before giving up on the north of cyprus, i think they will never let go on this one, only if they where forced to. with no negotiations or anything do they want to give up two states and the trnc.

they already have minorities in these eu countries with out being a eu member, i dont think being in the eu will change anything. germany/england... france dont want them any more then germany does but they still have millions there establishing their own schools and demanding more rights in germany and uk.

i think if anything it will become worse when a muslim country tries to impose their ways in the eu and tries to change everything about the eu to be how they want it and who cares about any other country.

i hope i am wrong and you are right that they do get eu and they do flee cyprus for the eu countries that they are mostly already in but maybe more will want to go for easy access and not needing a visa to getting more money.
