The main aim of this conference was to identify, through expert presentations and discussions, the forward strides achieved by Cyprus since independence and particularly post EU accession. Topics covered included political, economic, cultural and technical issues also tourism, education, identity, Cyprus’ position in the wider European family, and challenges arising through global recession.
