Our only hope is the EU. Hope comes at a price. The Greeks are paying. We just want the Turks off Cyprus!
More delusions but that most deluded of people, GiG. Many thought EU entry would solve the Cyprus problem but in eight and half years the EU has done nothing but offer words - The curent freeze of certain chapters is no incentive on the TA to withdraw.
When are we going to see some worthwhile substantive action like a time limit for withdawl, or action such as a full stop on the accesion negotiations, cancellation of the customs agreements, and reciprocal sanctions by all EU states to match those imposed by Turkey on Cyprus??
The sad fact is that Turkey is possibly more important to the EU than Cyprus, as a trading partner, that is why currently the EU will continue to do little but offer words to deal with the Cyprus problems.
