I don't think so! There's no such thing as a "population exchange agreement". Care to prove me wrong or do you withdraw your post?

“……Following the events of 1974 almost all Turkish Cypriots had concentrated in the occupied area. On the basis of a Population Exchange Agreement, 196,000 Greek Cypriots living in the North were exchanged for 42,000 Turkish Cypriots living in the South…”
There are moe details concerning the agreement (i.e. it was signed between Denktash and Makarios during 1975...) but I really cannot be bothered to google round to find other independent sources at this time of the night. If anyone is so interested I am sure thay can do the same and find out!
