Cornelius Desmond O'Dwyer's Press Release

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Thats funny, btw WHO are we talking about

Who'd you think Milo? Lady O - she does come out with some of the most hilarious tripe in desperation when she loses her rag!

But my favourite O offerings are those when she is in her power mad 'Cyprus is Greek' or 'Cyprus will rule the World' mode:

CYPRUS the darling of a new world order. It is proving pivotal in amalgamating the major Powers of the World.
Thanks to past efforts and the ties of our new President, we are central to links between the EU, US, Russia and China.
The New World Order is Born .... our friends! Now ... all together ... Cool

for the first time in World History ..... we have united the proletariat with the bourgeoisie with the capitalists with the socialists ...
Everyone has been united by us
Except for the Turks ... they are isolated from the New World Order until they leave Cyprus ... (then we might think about letting them in)

Not sure which 'Cyprus' she refers to there - I cannot find another country called Cyprus but there must be one somewhere as I do not recognise our 'Cyprus' in any of that![/quote]

I think she should expand and elaborate on 'the ties of our new President' too.

Let her play - leaving aside the hate and racist aspect of her postings - she posts the funniest stuff on the forum!

The very same O who said:

I think Admin should ban Viewpoint. He is seriously deranged and will use this forum to incite violence on innocent individuals. He would be arrested for this in the UK.

She would be too!

Go Conor.

As the saying goes: Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. So yes, you can say whatever you like, but what you say is worthless when you don't have the ability to support your arguments and all you can do is just say "I can say whatever I like" ;)

When I do decide to retire I may or may not move abroad but for me it will be as simple as ABC - ANYWHERE BUT CYPRUS. As I've said before, if it's alright for some I am not about to criticise them for their choices and wouldn't be so rude as to do so. Everyone is entitled to live free of being a victim of systematic corruption.
I already know of 4 houses that have been sold twice and no criminal action has been instigated by the Attorney General.

If you love it there why you may move abroad when you retire then? Apparently it is not so great as you want us to believe ;) For you it might be simple "anywhere but Cyprus" but that is because you are anti-Cypriot. Otherwise Cyprus is just like every other place with its pros and cons. And if you know the cons you can easily avoid most of them, like for example doing a better research if buying a house.

This is called freedom of choice Soto; ' Living abroad' is not suitable to everyone and not necessarily easy! Personally it took me quite a few years to settle here and there are still moments when I could pack up and move back home! I am sure that others around the world have felt likewise!

I have not read any other of this persons post so can you please state how you think/know he is 'anti-Cypriot'?

Indeed.

In fact it seems to me that Cypriots who moved to the UK seem the most satisfied with their 'new home'. Must be or so many of them wouldn't have stayed so long!

I don't come on here 'singing the praises' of the UK. If I was that enamoured of it there, I would still live there - tho I did leave a beautiful part of it (South West).

When I lived in the UK I would voice my dissatisfaction with anything about it I disagreed with or didn't like.

But seems only in Cyprus must you never utter a word of criticism about anything Cyprus related or about Cypriots.

And those who are the most vehement in refusing to hear a word against it are those WHO LEFT IT AND HAVEN'T RETURNED TO LIVE HERE!

Go figure.

Exactly. There is freedom of choice. So now tell me why would anybody choose to leave from the UK if the UK is so great as Jack says? As I said every place has its positive and negative aspects and no place is perfect. Everybody can make a choice based on that. If you want the positive aspects of the UK and you don't mind the negative aspects of UK then stay in UK! Simple isn't it? If you go to another country (ANY country) it will have different set of pros and cons. Only an idiot would expect that he can move to a place that has only positives and no negatives because no such place exists.

It is your own country so you can be as critical as you want. When you come to a country which is not yours you should express your criticism in a way that will not offend the local population. If you are British then you can say things about British people without this being very offensive. But when you talk about others you should be more careful. For example African Americans call each other "nigger" all the time. But if a white foreigner calls them like that then they could be very offended.

I hear on the grapevine that a developer, his developer son and a hired thug are now in jail on remand awaiting sentence for assault.

These criminals must now be wondering what their next sentence will be for unlawfully selling a house twice on top of the one they get for this.
